"Luck only came into play with McDavid" (note, saying this meant you were telling me that I'm wrong, because I had just said you were lucky in a different way)

Unless 'criminally underrated' means 'absolute ****', then your goaltending is by no means near criminally underrated.

Bunch of rentals for a keeper and a good pick, what's to get? I told everyone multiple times that I was looking to make that kind of trade
Yeah, I just think you could've done better for those players. I wasn't ready to part with Crosby for it, but I think you could've done better than Landeskog.
Landeskog << Crosby (even now) IMO...
Now I find myself wondering what you would've thought of like Forsberg.

Jack Eichel starting the 2nd half on a tear.
Having both mcdavid and Eichel is going to be amazing. My pick btw looks like it will be at worst a mid pick, and getzlaf has been awful this year.
Kane + mid 1st + awful getzlaf + Henrik Lundqvist for Mcdavid. Looks damn good to me.
I would do that trade again in a heart beat.
If my 1st turns into a top 3 pick tho, and Getzlaf turns it on in the 2nd half and is over a PPG, then I take back the statement, but right now it's looking extremely fair.
Also don't wanna get into it again, the 1st should have never been involved, it was a **** up since the start, balls took advantage of it, of course most people here will probably just flame me saying it was intended, but w/e.
It's all up balls winning the cup, he needs to win this year, badly.

1 - Mcdavid going down was just awful luck, and this can't be debated. I traded a ton of pieces for a generation talent, just to get injured moments later.
2 - Top 4 is a bit much I agree, got a bit hyped. That being said, with Mcdavid, IMO he would give me the points I need right now to be in a playoff spot. I am very close.
3 - My team is underrated, nearly 95% of the people here have me as a bottom 2/3 team, which is not going to be the case at all. I made some excellent waiver claims, and adds overall that have carried the load until my big guns got going (which they are right now).
Ramo especially was a out of nowhere pick up who has been great in the past month, I also believe Reimer is a astute pick up, and will play a vital role down the stretch.
Is that not fair brock?

I would have made an offer if I was contending for the cup, since I am just grinding out the season, I stayed away.
Landeskog is a good player, I do think you could have received more, but who am I to talk considering.
Most of these trades won't show up how good / bad they are until the end of the year, and years down the road.

I don't care that CRD got a great deal, I know I'm not a contending team....I just think you got taken to the cleaners on the deal...IMO you should have been able to get much more than a 4th rounder, as well as Landeskog if he was your target player. But if you are satisfied with the deal that's all that really matters.

Well I traded my 1st, 3rd and 4th round picks from this past draft as well as a waiver pick up from earlier in the year. I'd say Landeskog is worth a 1st and 3rd, so I can't be too upset in getting a 4th rounder for a former 4th rounder/waiver pick up that I couldn't have kept.
It's really easy to sit back and say I could have gotten way more in this deal but again I will say it, I've been shopping this package for 6 weeks, making offers to people as well, and the only person to talk/respond to me was CRD.

If you value Landeskog that highly and you are happy with the deal then it's all good. I'm surprised that no other contending teams made an attempt to make a deal with you.

Also I have no shot in hell at making the playoffs at this point, so this deal just helps me keep losing so I stay in that 12th spot and have the best chance in the lottery. Could definitely use me some Auston Matthews in my life! As much as I love a guy like Keith I'll probably deal him soon as well, cause the future of my team is guys like Ekblad/Reinhart/Duclair/my 1st
