I didn't think he was actively opposed to analytics--the stories I read about the issue in Florida were more about how the analytics guy was dictating things to him in the game and that rubbed him the wrong way. There's space between "analytics are worthless" and "analytics should make every decision for you." My sense was that Gallant existed in the space between those two poles.

Yesh they were literally texting him lineup changes mid-game based on an analytic guy who was watching with one of the owners. Not wanting to deal with that doesn’t mean you’re anti-analytics
