Lafreniere and Kakko have not been given the opportunities they deserve this season. They are both used in strange ways and probably instructed to dump the puck in and work it round the outside instead of making instinctual, creative plays. Both deserve a chance to play with Zibanejad.

It’s almost always a zero sum game. If one team comes out hot and plays well it puts the other team on its toes. It’s pretty rare to look at any period and say both teams were great. One is usually great at the expense of the other

It’s just uninspired garbage to be honest. This team had an entire weekend to practice and get ready for this team and they show up and look like this?!?! Please I mean how much longer do we have to watch this.

Kakko has been leading the team in 5v5 TOI the last bunch of games. Playing with Mika isn’t some privilege so far this year but I’m not opposed to either playing with him.

Laf just hasn’t been that good yet overall. He should earn big minutes like everyone else.

What they’re “probably” told to do is total speculation.
