Only thing im worried about is the Rangers making the backup goalie looking like Patrick Roy :)

It's not a back-up goalie tonight. Peters is their starter, Murphy is the backup. Ward and Khudobin are injured. :sarcasm:

With Pavel Bure's number being retired tonight in Vancouver, what were your thoughts about him? I know he was only a Ranger for a very brief time, and he wasn't even half the player he was in his prime, but still scored nearly a PPG for the Rangers. He was a thrill to watch in most years. It's a shame he was as oft-injured as he was. Great player.

Well, we have a new record holder.
 
It's my birthday today and I'm pretty sure that the Rangers have never won on my birthday. They usually get destroyed... I apologize in advance for this.
 
So we're playing their 3rd string goalie tonight. Alright, hopefully he looks more like Luongo than Hasek.

If you're a Ranger fan and can't spell Stepan's name right you need to go have your head checked. This is his 4th year in the league already and you don't know it's Stepan?

Stefan Matteau. He is playing for Albany tonight. The son of a former Ranger with a legendary moment can only be wished the best. He hasn't looked very good so far this year, so they felt he needed some encouragement.
 
Bure was electric in his prime. Everyone was brought to the edge of their seat when he held the puck. It's a shame his knees gave out. He scored 31 in 51 for the Rangers on his very last legs.

I thought for sure he was more productive than that as a Ranger. I remembered him being near a point per game when he retired... Maybe I just remember his 60-goal years and it's clouding my memory.

Sorry. I'm a rookie on this board and thought the correct spelling of Stepan in the next sentence might give you a clue of whom I was referring to. Apologies again. Rookie mistake. Will get my headed checked asap.
