Rangers shuld win this. Carolina goaltending is a mess right now. last game we could have won 6-0 if not for ryan miller who is still a top goalie

What are the chances Marc Staal defects mid-game because of how strong the bond is between him and his brothers, and the fact that many Carolina fans have brought up that he UNDOUBTEDLY wants, nay must, play alongside them? I think after the first commercial break in the 2nd we'll see him in a Canes jersey.

Carolina is absolutely decimated by injuries, geez. Rangers better not take their foot off the pedal tonight, and start November on a good note. LGR!

I don't think Canes country extends outside of the Triangle, to be honest.

Canes country doesn't extend through the Triangle, to be honest. I've never seen a team exaggerate their own attendance the way they do, either. Half- and third-empty stadiums claimed to have 17k+ in attendance in an 18k seat stadium. Entire lower bowl empty. Half of the upper deck empty. Announced attendance of 16k. Happened multiple time last year, and in all 3 games I've been to this season. And that's with half of the actual attendance being pro-visitor. The Chicago game might as well have been in Illinois.

After having seen the disgrace they played last night against Tampa, and the effort level from their captain down (saved only by the travesty that are the Flyers playing "hockey"), the Rangers should make them look the way they did to Buffalo, except the Canes don't have a Ryan Miller. If the Rangers bring that same intensity, this game should be a win. Peters kept them in the game through the second period, but got exactly zero help, and is going back-to-back, and frankly isn't a good goalie. Smash them and take over a playoff spot; 3rd in the division.

Don't count out the Hurricanes. If they could friggin stay healthy they'd be the 3rd seed this year in the Metro.

That being said, kick their ***** boys, LGR!

I don't think they're a candidate for relocation, however.

I seriously doubt that. Most people had them picked dead last for a reason. The three injuries that actually "matter" are Skinner, Ward, and Pitkanen. Ward is not nearly as good as he was made out to be following his Conn Smythe. He is a barely-above-average goalie at his best, which the Canes haven't seen since 2008. His career GAA is 2.74. The last three years, league average has been 2.76, 2.74, and 2.73. Not nearly as big of a loss as the pundits would want you to believe. Pitkanen has played just about 75% of his team's total games for his career. He has NEVER been healthy. Is he a loss? Absolutely, but counting on him for a full year is asinine after 9 seasons of history. Skinner has looked lost, out-of-place, and tentative since his rookie year. He is what he is: 30g-30a, injury-prone, no defense, ballerina on ice. Smaller loss than the Rangers losing Nash or Callahan. The Rangers, with a win tonight, would actually BE in 3rd in the Metro, despite "not staying healthy."

The Hurricanes problem is lack of effort. They have skill, but 4 of the top-6 coasts nearly every game (5 of the 6 if Skinner is healthy). That's a reflection on their "franchise" player and captain. And their GM. I won't blame the coach (Muller was fantastic for Milwaukee), since they've recycled and fired more coaches than most teams out there, all with the same results. They also lack high-end prospects, especially if you remove the practically no-brainer Lindholm (yet another top-5 pick). They would be nowhere close to 3rd in the Metro, even healthy, now or at the end of the year.

As a moderate fan of the Nashville Predators, who have been thrown through that cycle, I agree, and it's infuriating. If Nashville, with better attendance numbers than the Hurricanes 5 years in a row (and 2005-06; guess who won the Cup that year?), and right around the same numbers in the 3 years prior, is days away from relocation to Canada, how have the same rumors not started swirling around the Hurricanes? Anyway, off-topic, sorry. Just a personal rant.

Very high.

Everyone wants to play with their siblings, duh.

I was at the PNC arena the other week for a NIN show. I guess I'm used to MSG, because I felt like i was in a playground version of a real arena. Couldn't believe the seating.

The NIN show was ****ing incredible, for what it's worth.

Peters will have the game of his career tonight. Or maybe the Canes can sign Mike Brodeur.
