shades of Brandon Pirri this season. I can't remember how he was playing so well after the deadline last year.

he wasn't, if you watched. he ran ultra hot on assists and because teams treated the Rangers like a joke rarely got any actual defensive attention. I was banging this drum last year while he had his "elite per 60 production"

Kreider has looked great this game so far, continuing his effort vs SJ. Hopefully Quinn has unlocked something in him.

Nope. I’m a huge Kreider fan, but he’ll disappear sooner or later.

Skjei always looks so much better when he has a partner that takes over in the offensive zone.

It was his skating and play in the defensive zone that made him a first round pick. For some stretches he puts it all together and is a beast at both ends, but I can't help but think that he'd be consistently at a top4 level if he focused on his strengths more than trying to replicate the glut of secondary assists he racked up as a rookie.

It’s not as bad as it used to be.. I remember going and being the only person sitting in my section... the announced that people in the nose bleeds can move down to the lower bowl during the intermission lol
