So the 2018-19 official NY Rangers theme is alway give up an EN goal whether trailing or leading.
It’s the “2017 2nd round vs Ottawa” model.

Hayes is so slow, I cant wait to get him off my team.

I never get this type of comment. Hayes looks slow because he’s huge and has weird skating mechanics, but he’s not a slow skater at all. He’s a very good hockey player and he plays all situations. His PP unit is the more effective one, he’s been a dynamite penalty killer and he’s become a great matchup center.

I actually like Hayes also, despite his flaws

Don't think he'll finish with that but 35-45 in this season is a great contribution from a rookie.

very likely but at the same time, he's earned top 6 minutes plus the coach's trust on the PK, PP, final minutes and nothing he's done so far has been lucky or unsustainable. Very smooth and steady player. Nothing less than 60.

Yes indeed. Or he can get better the more he plays, and finish above 50. Especially if he gets more ice time. I’m very happy to see him be so consistent at this young of an age.

I think fatigue will catch up with him. Not used to the grind of 82 game season.

Vesey - Howden - Fast with another strong game. That's how it usually goes, team improves when the players find where they slot in.

I still hate Spooner tho.

Thought they looked pretty good tonight. That slap-pass by Getzlaf sure was something, it froze everyone on the ice but Rakell. They can't keep playing Chytil 7 minutes at even strength every night (with Lettieri and McLeod no less) or it's gonna really hurt his development, send him to Hartford with LA and bring him back up once Zibanejad/Hayes gets traded so he can have some ice time.

Just out of curiosity why isn't there a separate post-game thread?

It was probably because the Rangers won, so there was only going to be 2-3 pages at most of post game discussion. If the Rangers lost in the shootout, there would have been round the clock monitoring for PGT: Rangers lose west coast game in November PART IV- [MOD WARNING POST 800].

2 hours of sleep is never enough but if there's one thing that keeps me going its taunting one if my techs who is a Ducks fan. That, or Red Bull

Hayes is an average player, we are loaded with them. We haven't had anyone hit 80 points since I don't know when, Gaborik maybe? What would that be like a decade ago? I think we are all guilty of liking our players a little too much. Hes a good player but hes never gonna be a star player, I'm on the side of moving him and hopefully drafting one.

I would not mind dealing Hayes at the deadline as long as the return is reasonable .... Not me he's still out there playing AV hockey and hasn't really adapted or tried to adapt to Quinn's system. I will say I haven't watched every game though.

I just don't think he fits in anywhere going forward
