Young players getting scratched doesn't bother me that much. It's a part of the process. If it's done too much, then I will agree it'll hinder the development. It benefited Del Zotto to an extent.

I agree, to an extent, but Del Zotto was costing us games with his abysmal defensive play. Kreider isn't...

He needs to be in the lineup. If he's constantly scratched, it's going to kill his confidence. He just needs to keep playing and learning.

Now compare Bickels offense to Boyles defense.

Weren't you a part of the Boyle thread where i was advocating for him in the lineup. I guess i needed the :sarcasm: after that statement.

People saying Boyle should be in the ECHL have no understanding of the game of hockey.

I just want to see them carry the puck in on the PP and set up a play.....please no more "dump and chase" with the extra man, It's Not Working and Never Has !!!

I dont buy that. IMO they are ruining kreider. JT Miller was god awfu last game and yet he gets to play. kreider wasnt great but he played better than Miller on both sides of the ice. I gurantee if he played with nash/stepan/richards he would have 5 or 6 goals yet Torts has no idea how to use him

Ill trust the guy who has a stanley cup and led this team further than any other team since we won the cup.

Sorry. It's just that Boyle debates have been all over this board and it has become a web of confusion for me now aside from bardof. He just hates Boyle.

This is the most I have banked on a player in a long time. Don't make me look dumb BB.

The WORST possible thing this team could do, would be do send Miller back down, bench Kreider, and put Boyle back on the 3rd line.

I'm telling you, this team is best when Miller AND Kreider are in the lineup.

What's the point of sending Miller down? He's not gonna learn anything more at the AHL level that he can't learn here.

If Miller goes back down and Boyle is back on the 3rd line...I will lose my freakin' mind.

I want Miller here so NHL 13 updates the rosters!!

I honestly think tortorella has no ability to evaluate talent...he likes hacks and hates skilled players

He has to show players who's boss all the time, makes everything about him, and all it winds up doing is stifling creativity and making players play nervous...rangers will better off without torts

I will be dishing out a lot of crow if he plays well. Thing is, Boyle does little things well, so i don't anticipate something like a hat trick from him.

Anyone who didn't see this move coming after blowing a 3 goal lead in the third period is blind as a bat.

Boyle was a huge reason as to why we were perfect when leading after 2 periods last year.

Clear reason why he's back in the lineup. Hoping he sticks and Kredier comes back with a fire under his ass for Asham.

We weren't perfect last year after leading after 2. That was 2 years ago. Boyle was on the team that blew a 3 goal lead to a much inferior team to the Bruins at home. That's Ottawa, btw.

I agree to an extent. I know it's a heinous crime to bring this up around these parts, but the Rangers and Torts should have found a permanent place for Zuccarello in this lineup

:deadhorse

We just went from 3 scoring lines to 2.
Top 6 are still good, but putting Boyle on the 3rd kills any offense

This is a key point. We looked SO sharp when Torts could roll 4 lines. Everyone seemed to have a bit more pep in their step. (did I just say that?)

We'll see how it goes, tonight. I'm a big proponent of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I dont give a **** who you trust. im just stating my opinion

You've proven some excellent facts to back up your opinion.

Do you have rings/credentials i am unaware of. Because until this point, the rangers have proven they know how to handle the development of prospects. I could make a list but it would take up half this page.

Torts likes hacks and hates skilled players, it's been awhile since I've seen that bit of misinformation being spread around.

I guess that's why players like Halpern and Asham are getting sooooo much ice time and Gabby, Richards, and Nash barely play.

Good feeling about this one tonight. 4-2 Rangers. Boyle with the Gordie Howe hat trick. Powe gets his first of the year. Let's Go Rangers!

:handclap::yo::handclap::yo:

I do like the line changes, hate to see Kreider out but Boyle needed to play

Cally with Gabby and Richards I was calling for this week

Have to keep Hagelin, Stepan , Nash and the 4th line together.

Pyatt is better on the 3rd line and Boyle had to get back in the lineup. Miller needs to keep getting chances too.

You're right, 3 OT losses last year, no regular season losses. On top of that, he was a huge part of the reason we've only lost 3 games, in OT, over the last 3 seasons, when leading after 2.

Remind me how deep we went into the playoffs last year?

Blocking shots as much as the Rangers do/did last year doesn't mean they ran like chickens without a head. The Rangers tired out and NJ had energy and were a hot team - look at them this season. NJ was the better team.

They barely beat 2 pretty (relatively) mediocre teams. One of which is the worst team in the NHL this year. We had as easy of a road to the finals and hell, seeding-wise to the cup and still couldn't do it. Couldn't do it and looked bad doing it. We could have lost in 6 games to Ottawa if not for some favorable officiating.
