The "This is the first American Pope in the 2000+ year history of the Catholic Church" comments are sending me.

Every time. "Will this be the first time in 2000 years!?"

Um less than that, surely.

Anyway, I think it's important for me to get this out of my system:

YYYYYYYEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WOOOOO USA! USA! USA! USA! Eat it, QUEBEC! #1 WORLDWIDE TWO TIME WORLD WAR CHAMPS!!!!!!

Followup on that outlet. Original to the house and the builders stabbed the wires in the back. One of them came loose. Just loose enough to end the circuit pretty much fresh out the breaker box, but not enough to trip the breaker. And power could come and go based on temperature, that's how close the tolerance was.

Zero regret paying for a fix I'm capable of because those stabbed wires never feel secure to me and this thing was so barely loose I wouldn't have caught it. It had arced a little bit at one point and left a little burn mark so that might have been a hint for me. I know my house will be doing this going forward. Nice that it's straightfoward and not sinister

Seattle and Alaska are in the US tho…
There is an incredibly annoying commercial playing on a local channel advertising for vacationing in the Adirondacks. The ad ends with a female in a heavy French accent saying, "We were going to go to the United States for our vacation but now we will go to the Adirondacks." Umm, Madame, you may want to check a map.

Again, I hate backstabbed outlets! Builders do that stuff because it saves them 30 seconds per outlet.

I love the ADKs...and, yes, they are in the States. With the current dumbf***ery in our country right now please be smart and don't visit.
