Guys I'm following and the list is still growing.

Our 1st(predicting between 13-17)
Darnell Nurse
Ryan Kujawinski
Bo Horvat
Adam Erne
Jason Dickinson
Robert Hägg
Tyler Hill

Our 2nd
Madison Bowey
Spencer Martin
Mirco Müller
Linus Arnesson

3rd and beyond
Marcus Högberg
Connor Rankin
Axel Blomqvist

Bergman boys
Mikael Johansson
Robin Press
Carl Dahlström

I think we should look at Alex Forsberg with our 3rd, have a feeling he'll drop to late 2nd early 3rd round. Still a tremendous talent, if (BIG IF) he can pan out.

I don't think we will be in the top 5 at all. I think at worst, we're in the Nichuskin/Shinkaruk/Pulock range. But if we do end up in the teens, I'd like to see us go after our own Brandon Sutter type prospect, if there is one out there. A real 3rd line center, maybe with 50 pt potential. But we need a mucker, grinder CENTER prospect for the 3rd line. Lazar? Maybe Frederick Gauthier? He's huge at 6'5" 210lbs and is over a PPG in the Q.

I want someone like Ty Biggs if he could take a faceoff. I don't care about shooting for the moon and hoping to land the next Giroux or Eberle. The odds are overwhelmingly against you.

I'm not keen on him.

Skilled, But he's smaller and there are questions about his attitude.

Doesn't strike me as someone Burke and Morrisson will be after IMO.

I don't think Hill is anywhere close to a first rounder at this point.

Some players I like are

1st round
Morrissey, Erne, Nurse, Compher, Dickinson, Gauthier, Horvat

2nd round
Thompson, Klimchuk, Bigras, Wennberg, Muller

Who is that Oliver Bjorkstrand kid?

Small, playmaking winger. Plays for Portland.

Talented, no doubt although I'd stay away from him. Hasn't really progressed and seems like he may have some attitude issues.

Taped a bunch of games over the holidays, one thing I will say now, is I am more impressed by Elias Lindholm now than before the Tourney despite a quiet gold medal game, the only thing I don't like about him, is his size, he's feisty and a talent and I Like that in a prospect. He may give Nichuskin a run for the money on my list for best European.

On another note from a Leafs perspective, Tom Nilsson, impressive D man. What a find.

.

Hill is a project pick. I think he's the Mark Jankowski of this draft.

He could go any where from 20 all the way back to maybe 60 something.

I do think someone(maybe us) will look at the 6-6 225+lbs frame and think "O my, what if he puts it all together"

I think Kujawinski has fallen a bit in most standings. Late first-mid 2nd round. He really hasn't taken the step many thought he might.

Him and Justin Bailey could make some really solid 2nd round picks. Both some pretty nice upside, both big bodied centers.

Eh I'm not sure thats the best comparison. Is he as skilled with the puck as Jankowski is? That was one of the reasons why Jankowski was so interesting. He had the puck skills and hands of a 5 foot 11 player, but with the height of a big bodied pivot.

Bailey's first rd bound, would be shocked he makes it to the 2nd rd by year's end, this kid has a tremendous upside and may be a dominant player in this draft when all is said and done, one's where GM's say how did we let him slip.

I brought his name up before the year started as a player to watch.

Seth Jones
Justin Bailey

Done, a team that drafts these 2 guys is set for the next 10 years. Unbelievable upside to both, obviously Jones is the higer profile guy but don't forget Bailey.

Both Americans.

I barely watch prospects but i like hartman as a possible 2nd rounder. He seems like a future second liner but he can skate, cycle and finish so I like him.

Different style of player obviously, I was talking more to a lesser known prospect playing high school hockey(now USHL) who could be a good dark horse pick.

As it comes to the Leafs we've seen in the past Dave Morrison loves this type of pick. Under the radar player with better than decent upside(Leivo, Olden(;)), Knodel, Tontinato)

I'm pretty high on Horvat. Nurse, Morrisey and Gauthier are interesting. He's got the potential to be that big nasty, all around dman that everyone wants.

Klimchuk is pretty interesting too.

I also like (although I'm not sure where they might go)

1st Rounders
Shea Theadore
Alex Mantha
Nichushkin (I love his game. he's huge and massively strong. Could be a Rick Nash in the making)
Burakowsky
De La Rose

2nd Rounder

Klimchuk, Bailey, Kujawinski

3rd or lower/unknown
Bjorkstrand (could be higher)
Greg Chase
Vincent Dunn (also could be higher)
Laurent Dauphin
Marc McNulty/Mitch Wheaton/Samuel Morin ( Big defensive beasts)
Remi Elie (getting buried on the Knights. Could shine with some playing time)

Really think he might be a good one for a late first rounder.

I like what i've seen from this guy.

I'm a little surprised you guys aren't talking about Frederik Gauthier, though TheFinnishKulemin just mentioned him.

6'5" Center? Yes please. He could very well be the best value pick out of all centers. He'd be a nice consolation prize for a team that perhaps just makes the playoffs.

Since Interactif is a big fan of Button, I found this video where Button gives his thoughts.

I'm definitely intrigued. My friends in Quebec love him. They say he's a very complete player for his age.

Skip ahead to 2:10

I sort of question his offensive potential but I see where people are coming from. Another player people forget about it JT Compher.

He's and interesting player for sure, But I haven't been keeping that close of an eye on him mainly down to the fact we just don't pick players from that league anymore. 4 drafts under Burke not one Q player.

Good point. He is sort of a wild card.

What do you guys think of Anton Slepyshev and J.C. Lipon? A couple of over age players who could get drafted this year. Personally, I dont think they'll go quite as high as Pearson did but I could see teams taking shots at them in the 2nd round.
