I'm just pissed that they already blew the first year of his contract by letting him stay on a roster where he clearly has shown that he's not ready.
He is not consistent but Chytil showed plenty of "flashes" of what he's already capable of at this level including shift by shift dominance. If you forget long term cap consequences and only think in terms of development then even if Chytil is sent to Hartford now you'd expect him back within this season for sure. So whether he already past 10 games or it would've happened later in a season - it should not be a reason to get upset over.

Hayes 4 points
Shattenkirk, Vesy, Namestnikov each with 3 points.
Spooner, Chytil 2 ponits

Need more helping out with putting pucks in the net from these guys, Hayes in particular. Shattenkirk is supposed to be a 50p guy

All of these guys, minus Chytil( simply because it’s too soon) should be moved out of this organization as soon as possible. This was their chance to cement their positions in the organization and none have stepped up to the plate! We should be seeing their best, and maybe we are, but if this is their best...pathetic!

That brainless pass from Fast when he had a chance to put it in the empty net is just not acceptable. He's not a top six player and has no business wearing a letter.

Because having a letter means you have to absolutely no matter what put points up right? If anybody he’s deserves the letter only guy who no matter what shows up

The ADA votes
He wasnt bad but he wasnt noticeable making good plays either.

Shatty made several great clears, had that great pass off the boards for an assist and the shootout winner.

Kreider had 2 goals

Hank stood on his head and rotated from nose to occipital bone to make every save.

Putting ada over any of those three makes me think it's just bias or f***ing around

If there is any accountability, Fast comes out next game and Buchnevich goes back in.

That's a completely incorrect way to judge accountability. Buch has multiple games of f***ing up and lazy, disengaged play. Fast f***ed up once in a game where he made several great plays to retain possession or clear. He also busts his ass. I dont have an issue with resting him a game and putting buch in for some cases. I do have an issue with thinking pulling him is a fair punishment bc buch got pulled for something way different

This is why Pionk is playing against the opposition's top players. Neither Shattenkirk nor DeAngelo belong on the against those players.

Whatever Pionk is doing defensively every night against top competition could easily be matched, or improved upon, by Shattenkirk...and I certainly don’t think Shattenkirk is some defensive stalwart. It would be hard for a player not to improve on whatever Pionk is doing.

I mean, we’re talking literal goals are going into the Ranger’s net because of this guy’s play. At least Girardi magically managed to shut the opposition down (during his prime) while giving up tons of scoring opportunities.

No way the 28th Captain of the New York Rangers and the active serving Captain during the the 100th anniversary of the New York Rangers will be scratched over a gaffe.

Once again, read my reply to @ReggieDunlop68 just minutes later. I was totally joking and was meant to be totally not taken seriously at all!

I have the idea really that DeAngelo's alleged 'attitude problems' are way overblown. I haven't really seen anything very concerning since he's been in the Rangers organization.

Curious as to how you would see something like that.

Funny thing is that outside of the pucks not going in, I haven't consistently felt like he didn't belong. I really don't think he's that terribly far off from what he showed in his last season call-up last season, with the exception of not getting a goal.

But we're also at the point of the year where a two goal, three point night suddenly puts you on a 12 goal/30 point pace for the season.

Idk, I feel like they should have sent him down to the AHL, let him play 40 games down there, THEN pulled him up (especially once they start selling guys off). Wasting a year of the ELC in a throwaway year was stupid. Wasting a year towards unrestricted free agency is even more stupid

You want Shattenkirk playing against the opposition's top offensive players??

Yes, only because Staal in this system (with Pionk on his side) is doing rather well.

If you really prefer you could swap pairings 1 and 2.

Skjei-DeAngelo
Staal-Shattenkirk
Smith-Pionk

I just don't want to see Smith or Pionk near top competition ever

Gonna predict Chytil goes down and Fogarty comes up to man the 4th line spot sometime this week.

I think that's fair, and I've at times had similar thoughts.

On the other hand, outside of the pucks going in, I've felt like he looks like he belongs at this point. So I'm somewhat torn on the matter.

But generally speaking, if he can hang then he belongs.

As is Pionk playing against top competition, but nobody bats an eye.
I mean literally everyone, including his staunchest supporters, acknowledge he's in over his head and shouldn't be playing 25 minutes per night. What more should be said? What classifies as batting an eyelash?
