Morning, Afternoon, Evening everyone...sorry for the delay just had to watch the greatest World Cup Final EVER!!!! Wow...just wow!!!

It's a "Shame us", or we, don't get to see this guy play more often...should be the "case he" plays well at this year's tournament

Seamus Casey - D - USA

And with my final pick...

You know the saying - you're either Mall-In or not...Let's see about Aleksi...

Nothing better than betting heavily on a team that was extremely disappointing just a few months ago. I cannot stress enough how frustrating I thought their play was and I'm not even a Sweden supporter. To this point, I have been avoiding picking any Swedes like the plague (or Covid?). Maybe I'll have to take one with my last pick just so I'll have someone to watch when they play. :dunno:

Meh, my only player here of the 6 I have that was on the team last year is the goalie who didn't play any games. I've got Jansson and Rosen in my pool but there's enough turnover I don't even factor in team performance as a whole in previous years,

Sweden also has the easier pool. I think Germany and Austria are the 2 weakest teams this year.

Who's the last forward to go? Attilio right now instead of waiting 'til I'm technically on the clock.

Attilio Biasca F, SUI
I took him in the other pool after rewatching last year's CAN/Switzerland game where he was dominant. Hopefully, for us both, that wasn't a one-game-wonder performance.

I was between him and a Czechia player but if the Swiss have to play in relegation, I think he could do some damage there. Not that I'd complain if he did good in the round robin either lol

I'm very sad this draft is coming to an end, but I will wipe away Matier and take the final guy on my team, Jack Matier.

I don't believe there are any players to redraft at the moment, but stay tuned. Likely some pre-tourney game injuries and my Slafkovsky situation remains... let's just say, unresolved.

I'd be prepared to pick. As a Habs fan, there are 0 signs they will send him.

I'm still waiting for that early Christmas present, an announcement that Slafkovsky is coming to the tournament. It's now or never for them to announce this and the hours grow short.

With that said, and us having miraculously got through the pre-tourney games without injury for the first time ever, I am prepared to make the one and only replacement pick of the draft. I will take Jakub Kos from Czechia. Why, you ask? Kos I think he might have a good tourney.

Let me also take this moment to wish you guys and your families a very Merry Christmas!

Aron Kiviharju and Seamus Casey have both been cut. I am trying to see if anyone else needs to be re-picked as well. First come, first serve with the replacements.

Tom will take Simon Becar in place of Casey. He is heartbroken. Seamus was going to really light it up, apparently.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Boxing Day!!!! It's the most wonderful time of the year for sure!!!

Good luck to all and their teams. It seems teams pretty well-rounded but we never really know who's going to show up and who won't. Anybody have a prediction of winner? I know I'm a homer but...I really like Canada's chances again at this tournament lead by Bedard. The US will also be very tough this go-around and I'm predicting a CAN-US epic final and Canada the victor.
