I’ve been trying to figure it out for several days and eventually just gave up. Surely somebody will step up offensively for them other than the two obvious choices, but you look through the career stat history for the rest of the group and it seems to indicate that nobody will.

It's insane. I can't remember a team having their 3 best defenseman all not available for non-NHL reasons. Edvinsson for the 03's has been their clear #1 forever, and Havelid/Salomonsson have carried the 04's. I'm not even convinced the two guys everyone seems certain will step up offensively would even be there if E, H, and S all were playing. One return from the summer in Jansson really leaves us with almost nothing to go off of, esp because he's really not a guy that's not likely to make an impact offensively.

That's the draft. I'll get the board updated sometime today if I have time. It's now a free for all on replacement picks as long as you have confirmation that the player isn't playing.

Additionally there seems to be a rule where rosters are 23 + 2 possible replacements which cannot play unless someone else is removed. USA has a roster of 25 for example. If any pick is verified to be one of the extra 2 you can replace them as well if you want to since they're not on the official roster.

As of now I haven't seen any confirmation that he's been sent or not sent. You can make a conditional pick which will count if he doesn't get released

I'll check the rosters at some point to make sure everyone else picked is on them. Remember the weird rule of 2 reserve players that can only play in case of an injury. If anyone ends up with 1 of those guys they can replace them as well as they're not on the main roster. This wouldn't be a conditional pick. Once replaced they cannot be added back if they do get put on the roster. Thus you have the option to keep them and risk them not playing, or replace them for good.
