Gauthier scores to put me into solo 3rd. tigervixxxen gets an assist for Brindley to set the all time pool record at 67 with a 7 point lead. McGroarty assist ties 93leafs for 8th with Morgs

Bystedt goal gets PrntScrn closer to 4th but assists from Rosen and Jansson gives me a 3 point lead on 4th

Lucius bronze medal winning goal puts tigervixxxen 8 points up on spitsfan entering the gold medal game. Statsy and Antiillafire both get an assist from Savage and Hutson to be 8 back of 3rd. 93leafs gets an unexpected win from Mbereko to go 2 up on Morgs for 8th place.

Lets hope the gold medal game is exciting, but perhaps not that exciting

is it just me or scoring has been crazy this year too? I’m just glad I could be competitive for once. getting first overall to take Bedard was pure luck but glad I could put together a decent team.

That will lock up gold and silver. Nobody can get enough points on 1 goal and a goalie win to catch up. Tigervixxxen wins the gold with a record score. Spitsfan gets silver in his 2nd appearance. Congrats to both

3rd is between me and landymack. Assuming Suchanek stays in net any Czech win gets landymack Bronze. If Canada wins I get Bronze with a Roy point and nothing from Ostapchuk, Othmann, Zellweger or Allan. If 1 of those get a point and Roy doesn't landymack wins Bronze. If 2 of those get a points landymack gets Bronze. If Roy and 1 of them get a point we split Bronze. If neither Roy or any of those 4 get a point we split Bronze.

Guenther from Roy and Clarke will get me the point I need to take Bronze in a very close finish.

I will make sure to double check when the stats become official

After double czeching the scores I noticed I forgot to add Miic's win so spitsfan also gets to Statsy's former modern day record of 63 for 2nd place. Barring future scoring changes that I won't notice these scores should be final. I hope everyone had fun and look forward to doing it all again in December of 2023

I can't figure out Sweden's defense, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ludvig Jansson

I’ve been trying to figure it out for several days and eventually just gave up. Surely somebody will step up offensively for them other than the two obvious choices, but you look through the career stat history for the rest of the group and it seems to indicate that nobody will.

Missing players so far, just Lambos and Brennan? If anyone else is out let me know. Replacement draft will start immediately after pick 100

Slafkovsky is still undetermined.

I sure wish you would have figured it out before picking Topias Vilen

Also shoutout to my star player Ludvig Jansson. I guess I did figure out Sweden's defense. Either that or Statsy was right and he came out of nowhere to step up offensively. I did not have Jansson as a tournament all star when this thing started but there you go I guess.

Had I not done the dumb thing I taking my worthless goalie I was going to take Vilen and wouldn't have had Jansson so it all comes out in the wash I guess

I'm glad you revisited this because I was going to actually bring it up. Yes, it looks like you found the guy. What sucks for me is that Vilen ended up having one of the highest ice times of the tournament, but didn't look dangerous out there at all. Also, it looks like Sweden got tired of me ragging on them all tourney and just went off in their last game to shut me up.

Rough year for 9th and 10th pick
But interestingly, the way in which you were both most disadvantaged would be your first picks, and yet they were each the best picks of your respective pools.

Snuggerud - 13 points
Clarke - 8 points for a D

It's just too bad things went downhill from there.

I was surprised Snuggerud made it to 9 tbh. Felt like a steal at the time, and still feels like one.

I really thought I picked a bunch of good F after that too, and man did Lambert, Koivunen, and Öhgren disappoint. Would have went for CFG tourney lows if Blake didn't show up too. Just sucks my 2nd round goalie and Kiviharju got cut and Dach getting injured. Hard to believe I could do worse next year.

Yeah, you just guessed wrong with Brennan. I on the other hand had a very strong feeling that Gaudreau would be Canada's starter for game 1. I also knew he wasn't a very good goaltender and was in serious risk of losing that job if things went south, which they did. I smartly picked Milic in my other pool so at least I wouldn't have to fret about it. I was going to get one goalie right and one wrong.

I'm not sure the Kiviharju pick was going to work out anyway. Finland just wasn't as explosive this year as hoped, and underage dmen mostly get sat.

Dach was going to get you SOME points, but Canada's offense was a lot less balanced than usual. Bottom six guys ended up with one or two points, which is very unusual for a Canadian team.
