Earlier today I heard some two random teenage girls on Wenceslavs square use the words "skibidi", "rizz" and "sigma" and I have to admit to myself, I am probably finally out of the loop. The F
Skibidi is gibberish to me. I don't get that one.

Sigma, I think, is related to alpha (as in alpha male), but I don't know what the difference is.

Rizz is short for charisma. It can be a noun or a verb, which I learned fairly recently. "He's got rizz" means he is charismatic. "I was rizzing on those girls at the lake" means I was flirting with those girls at the lake.

But do you know why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

I know just enough about Skibidi to assure you that you will only damage your brain if you pursue the thought. Don’t. It’s a web series of videos. That’s all you need.

I only knew Rizz... which makes me think it's definitely no longer cutting edge slang lol

It sounds like something Bill Cosby would have said.

Sigma is like the cool outsider lone wolf type sort of thing. Skibidi is almost always meant tongue-in-cheek, i.e. it's a fake slang word that doesn't really signify anything, or intentional gibberish in other words. Source: my kids.

In a totally "this is my job" way and not a "this is super creepy" way, I end up being in classrooms from Kindergarten to 12th, so I hang out with a lot of kids of varying age levels. My favorite thing to discuss with them is the current slang. I always try to figure out what could be the most cringe thing to say to the other age groups.

I was in a 5th grade class and a 4th grade class across the hall the next week. What was "cool" in 4th grade was totally cringe in 5th grade. The 4th graders were all about Skibidi, Sigma, and "Mewing". The 5th graders wouldn't be caught dead, but they used Rizz.

I was in a 6th grade class last year when I heard about Skibidi for the first time. A kid tried to explain it to me and told me to watch it on Youtube. I pulled out my laptop and a different kid said, "I wouldn't look it up on your school laptop."

Apparently "Bussin" is out at all levels, which is my go to for bringing the cringe.

Congrats boys

I lost the semis in double OT last month. Rang one in the first OT. Scored 2 in regulation, second one to tie it with 3 min left

Shit pisses you off. Believe me, it doesn't usually. But this is now the 4th session in a row where I got bounced in OT. It got old after the 2nd one

2 apples here… one pretty sweet between the legs pass to the unmarked back door man…

Cody could have made it 3, set him up with a slick pass while he was unmarked in the slot… I believe he still had a tuck on the night tho

Big win!
That was a great pass, pissed I didn't bury that. I had a g and an a. Had that tap in while picking up the trash in front off the point shot. Won the faceoff on what I think was our first goal, the one from the point. Smoked the crossbar on that breakaway in the first.

On that first shift when I ran into our own guy in the corner, I butt ended my own pinky when I hit the ice. It's bruised pretty good, but doesn't hurt.

Thank you sir. That sucks. Nothing worse than losing in OT in the playoffs. The last time I coached the team I was coaching lost in OT in the semis as well. Down 4-1 with 6 minutes left, tie it to force OT, have two breakways, one from each of our two best players, don't convert, then they score.

Such a miserable feeling. When's the new season start up? Ours starts right back up...back at it again next Tuesday

Back at it in March. I have an indoor session just getting to the playoffs now, but I won't be able to make the last 2 games if we get there. Stupid work.

To be completely clear this is all roller. I play outside in 2 leagues on Sunday mornings (and early afternoon) and inside at another rink in a 3rd league around dinner time on Mondays Wednesdays and sometimes Sundays. I can't play ice with night shift. It's too expensive for having no chance at making at least half the games. Sunday mornings I just go right from work to those outdoor games and I can make most (not all) of the indoor games as long as they're before 7p. Those late ice slots are literally after my shift starts lol

Trying to help my dad sign into his company's work portal. Apparently I can't open the redirect to verify some more information on Safari. It wants me to download and open it up in Microsoft Edge. I freaking hate some IT people man. EDGE? REALLY?

I've been trying to track down ADA/Handicap accessible playgrounds for my son here in Delaware. There is like no equipment or anything for him to use outside of the oversized swing chair that still requires him to be lifted into to enjoy. I've emailed/contacted State Senators, Parks Department, County officials etc...nothing. They mentioned parks that are being redone, but when they parks get redone they dont even have anything outside of the swing.

I recently saw two articles printed about parks being redone and they big push to add 8 pickleball courts on a multi million dollar investment...repaving basketball courts etc... I emailed the county about that asking if they could cut the damn pickleball courts down to maybe 6?! i mean do we really have 8 seperate pickleball games going on at the same time in the same county parks? what a waste of money.

I forwarded them links to playground equipment made for community playgrounds that is inclusive and would allow for a kid in a wheelchair to participate and play. There's a company called Miracle Playground equipment that has a ton of options..i sent the state/county the brochure...nothing.

Then i see they announce that our State Capital Playground in Dover (2 hours away) was redone and they are touting how it is ADA accessible, has handicap accessible features etc... I saw pictures of the playground, and there was nothing different then any other playground. No features that appear accessible...i emailed the person on the press release and here's the response i received:

"Mr. Danko, thanks for contacting us about the ADA compliancy of the Capital Park Playground. Although this playground is not an all-inclusive playground it does offer ADA compliancy with components. The engineered wood fiber fall surface is ADA compliant. The entry component is a transition station that allows kids to transition from a wheelchair to the lower deck and transition from there to the remainder of the play unit."

Wow you have a flat surface instead of mulch...that doesnt mean that kids in wheelchairs can play or participate...just means they can roll around on the flat ground while the other kids play.

Some straight up bullshit and false advertisement

Ahhh ok! I was like damn, the next season doesn't start again until March, that's crazy. Yeah, the one bad thing about ice is the late start times. Summers aren't too bad when since there aren't any youth leagues going on, but our first game of the new season doesn't start until 10:40. That shit is too late.

Yeah, this is maddening. ADA compliance only nets you access, not utility. What's the point of the kids being able to get to the equipment if they can't use it?
