Seriously though..it has had a resurgence this summer. Luckily it's endemic now...but hopefully mpox doesn't become worse now that it's out of Africa and in Europe like Covid started...

Hope you all get better soon

Was there a better mall back in the 90s?

Yeah I used to go now n then from Bucks County. My brother even worked at Penny's. It was an attraction until it became dumpy and dated with the nineties color schemes and all. I remember buying some elastic waisted and tapered jeans from the Bugle Boy Store. One pair of jeans had a drawstring along the waist and were kind of baggy like the MC Hammer pants....🤣

Yes - the Tri-State Mall. The Champagne of Malls, where Claymonsters and Chichester teens would gather, fight, drink, and find convenient ways to rip off the annual parking lot carnival, to the tune of a flimsy REO Speedwagon mirror to a bent spider ring to the epitome of parking lot carnival prizes - the alligator jaws thingamabob. Inside, $4.00 got you an Emerson, Lake & Palmer album, three slices of magma-hot pizza at the Orange Bowl (where the cheese was gloriously unattached to the pie and would burn your chin and neck when it slid off after your initial bite), or an evening in the balcony at the Sameric theater to watch Car Wash while the people around you were drinking, blazing, and playing in the snow.

I could go on, but I'm so far ahead I'll gracefully stand aside.

Time's yours.

My mom would take my brother and I up there every now and then. I remember the one food court having a baseball theme with a little field painted onto the ground and a backstop. Also the tiled stairs and ramps. I also remember there was a candy store where'd they made fudge right in front of you...good times

I remember that Fudge place. They used to sing I think...albeit very badly.

I went to Franklin mills sometimes. Also used Carrefour, across the street. It was a no membership discount grocery plus store, before they were really popular.

Carrefour was pretty good except the union in Philly ran them out of town.....they never came back to the US after that.

Carrefour was really great. Not having to pay a membership and access to bulk stuff. For a few years I think that's pretty much what my Mom used for deli meats and their bakery was good as well.

I haven't seen a place replicate their onion rye bread as good.

Yeah they had a lot of Euro type products of quality that we don't normally see here unless you go to a place where they import like DeBruno Bros etc......ripoff places. Their bread was really good from what I recall. The workers on skates was funny.....one girl nearly ran me down like Skinny Minnie.

I used to love going to Franklin Mills in the late 90s/early 2000s...right up until we came out to my friends car window smashed and shit stolen. Never went back. We just went to Neshaminy, Willow Grove, and Cherry Hill instead.

What no Oxford Valley Mall after going to Sesame Place!

A couple of my buddies took one of their parents' car to KOP back in the 90's. Came out to discover the car was stolen. The kicker was they had The Club, but didn't put it on the wheel

They used to have a great card shop in there..got all sorts of rookies and full sets of Upper Deck and the like
That reminds me of a card and comic book shop in Queen Anne Plaza in Fairless Hills (Bucks County). Used to go there for my comics and baseball cards. Still have them all. I think I have the 4th issue of The Amazing Spiderman among my collection. Anyway...the place was owned by two pervert Jewish guys. They used to watch porn in the back on VHS and you would hear the moans etc. in the back. Sure enough they loved porn so much they stopped selling comics and baseball cards and it became a porn rental joint....

Neshaminy mall has been sold and will become big box stores. Oxford Valley just built a ton of high end apartments in the south parking lot. I doubt it will save it. Sesame place considered buying it, but backed out. I grew up in Oxford Valley mall. Spencer's, space port Hermans...... and later the German beer store.

No deaths or injuries and situation under control.

“It was an off-base shooting from a passing vehicle that fired shots towards the gate, prompting our security forces to respond,” base spokesperson Stefanie Antosh said in a statement. “There is no threat to the installation. We had no injuries, no fatalities.”

Antosh said the shooting was being investigated by San Antonio police, who said in a release that the first shooting occurred about 2:15 a.m.

A vehicle later stopped near the same entrance shortly after 4:30 a.m., Moscoso said.

“For a second time, shots were fired at the Air Force security personnel, however, with the additional security personnel present, multiple Air Force personnel returned fire toward the suspect vehicle,” Moscoso said.
