He went for a nice leisurely stroll in balmy weather and keeled over.....so odd.

In all fairness, a person that was previously nearly poisoned + under such prolonged stress + likely suffering from prison malnutrition can drop dead on a leisury stroll after looking ok just the day before. At some point body just quits.

THEN AGAIN the press release of his death was posted by Russian media 2 minutes after his official time of death, so..

I was actually being sarcastic....my mobile emoji access for whatever reason doesn't work...

They probably shot him from a watchtower like in Shawshank Redemption...

It was clear you were sarcastic, thus my relatively expanded answer. I would genuinely not be surprised he did just collapse given what he had went thru before. I've personally had a couple of health issues that accumulated and then just s*** majorly hit the fan at seemingly innocent situations.

HOWEVER, what gave it away was time of death vs press release timing.

Yeah subjecting somebody or an entire population to inhumane conditions that eventually leads to death is just the same as killing them outright. I'll refrain from an analagous situation going on right now elsewhere other than Ukraine and Sudan...third rail unfortunately.

Would be nice if the names of Ukrainian men whose blood is spilled fighting a NATO war was given the same attention.

This may be the best snow I've ever seen, at least over here in SJ. Super light and fluffy with about 3 or 4 inches on everything other than roads and sidewalks, which have no snow on them whatsoever. Enjoying snow without the need to shovel it is a wonderful experience, would recommend.
My back is pleased....

Recovering from Stomach Bug of doom. lost 11 pounds in 2 days.
Hopefully nobody confuses you for a lanky gaunt jaundiced alien...

I don't understand the hype around Navalny either; he's also imperalistic in his opinions (incl UA), just more progressive. Maybe UA would even be worse off if he somehow came to power. (At least I would not be surprised).

Dude this week has been like 'magic snow'.

Tuesday it snows and its like covering the pavement, street getting a bit of snow and slushy. Then poof like an hour later it's all disappeared and just wet.

Last night it snows for hours and it just kept melting on the ground. There's probably like 4 to 5 inches of snow on my deck and not even a coating when I woke up on my pavement to have to shovel. There was snow on my car, but I didn't have to go out and during the course of the day it's all pretty much just melted away.

Sports have to do something about Fanatics. What's gotta give here. They are terrible. I want to buy some new Phillies/Flyers shirts but i cant stand the materials, the cheapness, and overall look of most of the fanatics stuff. I've never gotten anything from them that I think was good quality.

Ive never been more sure of anything than I am of Michael Rubin and Fanatics eventually, one day in the future, having to testify in front of Congress.

I don't understand why Fanatics even exists in the first place. In a detrimentally capitalist world, how is Fanatics getting licensed by these big apparel companies in the first place? Why wouldn't Nike/Adidas/Under Armour/etc just make jerseys themselves and engorge on profits instead of splitting them with Fanatics? It makes no sense to me

I think because Rubin somehow became an influential person in the celebrity/athlete/musician world & essentially uses their credibility to market himself & thus his company whether directly or indirectly as I think some of these people are actually paid for endorsements.

I think up this point only really hardcore jersey or sports apparel people really have noticed how shitty the product is which probably isn’t enough to make enough noise. But perhaps the MLB & NHL player deals could make more noise & put a shadow on the company.

I don’t know which thread is the actual hockey thread, or I can’t find it at least. Saturday March 2nd the flyers have a super hero night with a shirt and comic giveaway. Sounds great for the kids.
It’s a 7pm game. Why the hell would they not schedule that for an afternoon game?
