Assuming we're talking about soccer? Stadium is just the typical blouse you'll see at stores (looser fitting, has embroidered team patch, etc) and the match shirt will be closer to what the players wear on the pitch (tighter, screenprintedish team patch, etc).

If you're of the body type of anything different than that of basically a player...go for the stadium.

If it's a Nike Liverpool shirt you can probably get away with picking either stadium or match with not much sizing difference. Some of the other makers like Puma and New Balance do some crazy tight shit.
