Ok then, I have a topic which I would like to discuss. A couple days ago I was a little under the weather (GI thing). When it came time for bed I felt really chilly so I went to bed with a sweatshirt, sweat pants and (this is the key thing) socks. I started to wonder about the practice of wearing socks to bed, is this something people do? So of course I turned to google and it turns out that there has apparently been some research done on the subject and the conclusion seems to be that it's a good thing and there is evidence that people sleep better with socks on (we're not talking about sleeping when you're at work here).

So the question is, and I think this would make for an elightening poll, when you sleep... socks on or socks off?

Personally I think I'm going to be a "socks on" guy for a while. See how that goes.
On your feet?

If you wear your socks somewhere else we don’t need to know about it.

As usual, hardliners are obscuring the correct answer here. It's conditional.

In the summer, only a lunatic would do this. But when my wife is out of town in the winter, I turn the heater down to 60 because I'll be damned if I'm heating this house for just me. Then I need socks in bed.

While I highly approve of the low heating, you are doing yourself a disservice. Your feet will stay warmer under the blankets without socks. And you won't feel like your feet are little people being strangled in their sleep.

Compression socks for people with leg issues like my mom should be the only socks required but everybody has their sleeping habits.

My last girlfriend wanted me to sleep nude like her ...I hate it but supposedly there are various health benefits. I always have to sleep with a t shirt and have some ratty comfy ones years old. My fave is this Goya Salsa Festival red T....lol. Damn T shirt has been holdin up since 2008!

This is pure bunkum and balderdash.
