Eff Cancer
Maybe you were both thinking of Olivia Newton John...I defaulted to that for a moment. Chrissy has been battling breast cancer for 23 years so that maybe was confusing too
Cancer f***ing sucks

I've been a Frank fan. Long live Frank the TankPlease don't follow HC down the Frank hole. You've got a little dumplin' now - time to set the example!
Sorry for your lossLost two friends to it last week.
Sorry to hear that.
Wilford Brimley was 49 years old in Cocoon.Just think, when Golden Girls started, Bea Arthur's character was 53 years old.
That's younger than JLo, Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Salma Hayak
Ugh...eff cancer! Thanks. Found out today another one died last night. In her 30s. Had a history of drug issues in the past and was trying to put it behind her. Pretty girl. One almost becomes numb to it all.
Man, that’s tough. I had three friends die in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. It sucks to think that they’re gone.Thanks. Found out today another one died last night. In her 30s. Welcome to parenthood! The little one didn't want to cooperate tonight. Since we've come, my wife feeds her at 8pm and then goes to bed until it's time to relieve herself at 11. Then she'll go back to bed until 2 and gets up to do her thing. I'll be with the little one from 8-11, change her diaper, bottle feed her, and then stay up from 11-2 while the wife gets some more sleep.
Well, tonight, the little one wanter to do nothing but eat. After her 11 changing and feeding, I laid on the couch while she was in her little bed. Usually she'll fall asleep until 2, or until I wake her up, but tonight she didn't want to sleep, she just wanted to eat. I fed her 20mL at 1130 thinking that would fill her up and get her to sleep...nope, not enough. Fed her another 20mL at midnight thinking that'd do the trick...nope. Finally I gave her another 20mL at 1230. She never really fell asleep, after that feeding, just a couple minutes here and there. I brought her up at 1:45 since the wife was awake and she fed her for another 10 minutes. I know there will be many nights that are much worse than this, but tonight was the first night she's actually stayed awake between feedings, and of course it was at the worst time.
tl;Dr version - baby was a hungry one tonight and didn't want to sleep
Yep, first time where she made me work lol.Welcome to parenthood!
This reminds me of last night. My 5 year old had a bad dream (it’s a somewhat common occurrence with him), so I went into his room last night to calm him down. I picked him up and we sat in his rocking chair. He wrapped his arms and legs around me, and buried his head into my shoulder just like when he did when he was a baby. It only lasted about 10 seconds and then he went back into his bed.
It reminded me of that time when he was a baby. He would occasionally need me or his mom to hold him for him to fall asleep. We would fall asleep holding him in that same chair. While I hated it at the time, now it’s some of my most vivid parent memories.
It's a gift. And a curse.I guess we all have our crosses to bear
