Also correct. The things I appreciate about the band are Frusciante’s existence and Flea at his most focused, like Mellowship Slinky in B Major.

Not everything is for everyone. That’s how it works. But people are incapable of just saying something isn’t for me and go straight to it being crap. They’re such an odd band to specifically loathe from a musical standpoint. It’s not absolute schlock like Aerosmith or KISS. There’s some talent involved somewhere along the line. It’s akin to calling to calling Madonna the worst pop star ever. It just makes you look bitter and incapable of taking the focus off of you.

Except Avril. She should be eaten alive by those goldfish that remove dead skin from your feet.

The phrase "I can appreciate Flea's contributions" is absolutely hilarious. It's such a silly way to marginalize someone literally recognized as one of the best bassists ever. He's in that tier.

Not getting the Frusciante love is simply because you don't know the difference between RHCP eras on a micro scale. Which is fine because you don't listen to them because they're not for you, which is also fine. What isn't fine is calling them dip shit music. That's such a boisterous take. You can't listen to Strip My Mind and tell me it's bad music. The main thing I ask for myself is objectivity when listening to music. Boisterousness isn't objectivity. You're only doing yourself a disservice at that point

BUT at the same time I can tell you Don Henley oozes songwriting talent, their harmonies are all-world, and Victim of Love is an absolutely great song because it strays away from their annoying country rock sound. Excellent drumming in that tune.

Eh, sounds bad to me. I've already said that I pretty much dislike RHCP because of Kiedis, who's a dipshit person and musician. I used to listen to them a lot, but I've moved on because I find their sound uninteresting/grating now. Though, I do have some lingering nostalgia for Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Steve Harvey sucks just as much as the rest of those Hollywood clowns. Anyone defending Michael Vick for dog fighting is a piece of shit.

The dude got off easy because he was an NFL player. The constant double standards society uses if you're a billionaire, an athlete, professional musician, etc. is a bunch of bullshit.

Jerry was such a phenomenal guitar player. Nothing more fun than going to Shakedown st and seeing all the freak shows that exists in whatever grateful dead incarnation that exists. I do wonder what band those people will latch onto.
