I followed his rookie season in the OHL closely
he had a really good season. Big steal at #113


He gave important secondary scoring for the Firebirds
in the regular season and especially in the play-offs,
was probably the best Flint player in the play-offs.

Did he play with Othmann? no he did not

From his 15 play-offs points, Othmann was part in only 1 of them.
Only 2 pp points (1+1)

From 59 regular season points, only 6 were PP points.


You will have fun times watching him develop to a good player.

He did sign a contract with Flint for the season
but we all know what happened to the 20-21 OHL season.

So, that gives his season more context; his role

Playing in Flint, he is thrilled to be a Redwing.

“I got to watch (Lombardi) actually pretty closely,” Cleary said. “I watched the Flint-Windsor (OHL playoff) series and I thought this kid really stood out to me. Getting to talk to Amadeus, he was so fired up. You should’ve heard him on the phone. He was just thrilled. So that’s been great.”

Smooth skater and showed his great skill. Michigan goal, a nice break away finish, tried a sweet toe drag through traffic and almost scored again. Plus the nice set up to Kasper as well. Very solid showing for the kid, definitely seems like a steal in the 4th.
