I have to admit I was guilty of thinking chat GPT was a giant meme. I asked it to write me some python and VBA and they both came out working. I might keep using this to be more efficient until it takes my job.
The father of AI in a post and article upthread said it is at the idiot savant stage but will keep getting better which is both exciting and scary bc there needs to be some guardrails established. .

30 is a huge, huge underestimation.

Kinda related - not sure what is happening/changing, but Russian trolls (and some Latvian ''experts'' that are visibly paid by Kremlin [I don't think they just suddenly lost all their brain cells] - they're going totally nuts on social media. Lots of provocations. Theoretically could be just a result of RU being unhappy re: FI NATO membership, but I'm wondering whether there's more behind this.
Interestingly, I just watched a series on Netflix entitled Hitler's Circle of Evil, a British production. It's got many of the historians on other similar series. Pretty good watch. This series pretty much focuses on the inner circle adjucants to the main dictator.

These men spent years embroiled in personal power plays and yes men games trying to assert influence over the years, often times to the detriment of "the cause". They worked together when things suited, and then quickly tried to crush other players when it didn't. Everyone paranoid at the time, and trying to get others before the knife turned on them.

I'd have to imagine the same thing is occuring in the Putin kingdom.

I asked ChatGPT to make some hockey puns and oh my f***ing god did it deliver.

Sure, here are some ice hockey puns:
  1. Why did the hockey player wear a belt? Because he had a few high-sticking penalties!
  2. The ice hockey game was so cold, the players were shivering and their teeth were chattering...but that's just how they stay chill.
  3. What do you call a penguin playing hockey? A penalty-box bird!
  4. Why do hockey players make terrible comedians? Because they always try to break the ice.
  5. Why did the hockey player go to jail? He was caught scoring on an empty net!
  6. What do you call a bear that plays hockey? A grizz-ly scorer!
  7. What do you call an alligator playing hockey? A snap shot!
  8. How do you know if a hockey player is good at math? He knows how to use his sticks to find the angles!
  9. Why do hockey players never drink tea? Because they prefer to stick to their cups!
  10. What do you call a hockey player who doesn't shower? A stinkin' goalie!

It's so f***ing stupid :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

I asked it to generate Toronto Maple Leafs puns too, and some of them were actually pretty savage:

Sure, here are some puns about the Toronto Maple Leafs:

  1. What did the Toronto Maple Leafs player say when he was offered a pizza after the game? "No thanks, I'm stuffed with turnovers already."
  2. What do you call a Toronto Maple Leafs player who wins a championship? An April Fool's joke, of course!
  3. Why did the Toronto Maple Leafs player get a job as a plumber? He wanted to fix their leaky defense!

I am not aware of the series, nor informed about Hitler's reign in detail, but it sounds spot on.

Dear God, what an entitled wuss

Edit: I am going to Dutch GP this year!! Hb volunteered to take care of latest offspring during those 3 days. Let's see how many hours in he'll regret that, haha. But in all seriousness, having gone thru raising one kid to kindergarden level, you really understand which things you should really worry about and which will 99% of the time go just fine. I am expecting lots of calls, tho, naturally.

The same shit happens in every military throughout time, and in the corporate world. Hell, pretty much any job.
Obviously to a lesser degree, but there are people willing to stab others in the back or throw them under the bus on a whim.

It can happen in any kind of human organization. The batty thing about Nazi Germany is that Hitler actively encouraged it and promoted it because he was a social Darwinist.

Happy Easter!
