These ratings remind of food establishments that advertise themselves as "Best in the World" "World's Best" ...Pizza, Cheesesteaks etc.

Agreed yet Panorama and Door to Door are the two albums to which I return most often.

But the Candy-O cover artwork is well-documented and perhaps my favorite.

I'm a huge fan of Alberto Vargas' work. I even did a photo pin-up series where I shot models and rendered them to look like Vargas Girls. I think Candy-O was the first time I saw his work, back in the 70s.

Wow. Excellent take. From what I recall, he was retired by that point in time and passed away maybe a couple or so years later. The cover model is from New Jersey and dated the Cars' drummer who was responsible for their look (album covers, color-coordinated merchandise, etc).

Meanwhile, I think there’s a turkey in the woods behind my house making a heck of a racket. Must be mating season or something

Guys how do I do home ownership. On these "tweener" temp days, should I use the heat (to combat the overnight low 40s) or the AC? (to combat the daytime highs of 78-82) Is one more efficient than the other? Heating is much more expensive no?

I sleep very warm so it's tough to go windows during the day. Plus people are mowing

Greedflation is real....especially when an economist at a prominant bank admits as much.

We were just talking about this last week. Somethings gotta give.

It does because the Fed is doing its best to put people out of work to tame inflation which they will fail at anyway and cause a painful recession. If 30% or more of inflation is due to excuseflation and greed you have to address that instead of trying to put people out of work to cut demand. It is typical economic idiocy by the Fed which only serves the banks with their profilgate money printing and the backstops when the casino capitalism runs amok.

It depends on your setup. For example, I have no gas in my home. I have a central HVAC, with a heat pump. It's not too bad (expensive) to heat when it's 40+ outside. However, I have to rase it one degree at a time, to avoid the aux mode (aka heat strips). They are absurdly expensive to use. in the low 30s, the heat pump is worthless, it just runs and does nothing. I have a wood burning insert for the real cold.

If you have a gas HVAC, they "usually" are pretty cost effective for heating, but with gas supply (thanks Russia) the prices are like 4x vs previous years.

Depends on your fuel, type of heating/cooling, and thermostat. I just set mine to auto 66-72. If it gets below 66 at night the heat kicks on. Above 72 during the day the AC kicks on. Cool days are windows open and system off.

Make sure you change your filter. And once pollen is done, take a hose to rinse off the outside AC unit. That's where the heat is dissipated and dirt/pollen on it kills its ability to dissipate. Can make a big difference in performance.

Sounds like you have an older heat pump? Apparently they've come a really long way, and actually work below moderate temps now.
