It was a nice and a right play to make that pass to a teammate who can shoot at open net, cause goalie was on the other side with Kucherov. Again it is about a trade between a low scoring chance by Kuch or high scoring chance by a teammate.

p.s Headman today did exactly this and it lead to a goal. Sometimes guys you need to acknowledge that other people also know how to play this game.
