Sportsnet is almost as good in the Point puns as we are.

Was about to be really pissed about Stamkos not shooting there but glad it worked out. I still don't understand this teams fascination with the Giraffe. I don't even like KK that much but this isn't a fricking petting zoo play the better player for christs sake.

Oh and f*** NBCSN and f*** the hawks too.

Not a fan of listening to their broadcast. Anyway, proud of the comeback. Could have been better but got the W.

It's been a while since we've had a regular season game that intense. I felt like we had an edge from the beginning of the 2nd onward, but it was highly competitive.

-Vasy was a monster for the way he went long periods being inactive and then had to make a flurry of saves.

-Might have been Callahan's best game since 2015. Kunitz looked good again too.

-Stamkos and Kucherov were off their game, but Stammer's play to Point made up for it.

-Sustr was actually kind of okay tonight.

I really disagree with the last point. Numerous bad pinches and a bad penalty.

No mention of Hedman's numerous mistakes tonight? Not a good night for him, the nice shorthanded pass aside.

I thought Johnson looked good tonight fwiw. He just needs to string a few of these games together.

Who knew Paquette was the answer. That line could of chipped in a few more if they had more luck. They started off the season strong together and picked right up tonight.

Vasy kept them in this game some huge saves in this game. Overall was an exciting game.

I hope that he's gotten the taste of how he should play tonight and we'll see more of it.

I think he has played well all season. Tonight he had luck finally go his way on the scoresheet. That 2nd Anaheim game, easily could have picked up muliple points including a goal which was waived off. I also think the 11F/7D format has hurt his play. Tonight he had the same linemates and was able to build chemistry with them.

What is most important is that his hip seems fine, and he is hitting hard, 10 hits now in the last 2 games, moving pretty fast out there, and is also creating offense. He just needs to spend some time working on his shot. IMO. But think Cooper or Todd Richards should give him a look on the 2nd PP unit which has kinda gone cold. Don’t think that is asking much if he keeps having games like this one.

Meh, Kuch gets the ten-gallon brim tap on that one.

Contrary to what a lot of people think, Stamkos has not "reinvented" himself as a playmaker, when he tries to be a playmaker you get 2015-2016 level of bad plays similar to the past 4~ games. Not only are his passes bad when he tries to force them but they often result in turnovers.

He had things clicking for him with Kucherov/Names based off chemistry he's not some elite playmaker all of a sudden being a career goalscorer.

Agreed somewhat. It's mostly chemistry, I think what people mean when they say he's reinvented himself though is that he's become more of a pass first guy versus a shoot first guy. I think that is the best explanation, the offense flows through Kucherov and Hedman now.

Warning: The guy who uploaded it put some music with vulgar lyrics that plays at the start of the video for like 5 seconds. The rest of the video is game highlights with radio broadcast audio.

Glad to get the points . I hope we don’t fall into that old habit of falling behind
Early and trying to pull it out in the third. We were lucky with hawks missing some wide open nets and shouldn’t be too proud of this game

Seen a lot of Tampa 2016 the past 2 games, too much for my taste, but that went better after the 1st period. Great game by Cally, Palat is heating up, Stamkos and Kucherov were human the past 2 games.
