Tampa, FL.
JJ isn’t good, but the team was awful tonight. Players behind the D, odd man rushes, scoring chances for Columbus. Just a bad game. Kuch looked asleep in OT.

Bolts got a point with JJ in net while playing like trash. Take it and move on
Regardless, the fact remains that JJ is giving up 4 or 5+ a game, and the team can't afford that for another 15-20 games this season. There are better options that can be explored, and JBB should do so with haste.

Well, maybe don't allow 43 shots on goal if there's a goalie in the net who's making the league's minimum wage. You're playing against a lottery team after all
Youre not wrong but look at his game log history. This isn't a one off. This is who he is as a goalie. He's done this NUMEROUS times and this was a horrible one. There really shouldn't be a reason we need to clench our cheeks and play game 7 intensity against a lottery team when Vasy isn't in net. The fact we have to put 4 or more on the board when he's in just to stay competitive is a joke. Imagine if we were awful offensively? JJ wouldn't even be in the league. He'd be torched with so many L's if he was on a worse team.

Another thing to consider is the team never plays with confidence when JJ is in net. They're always 4-6 gosl games. At dome point enough is enough. JJ us the problem.

Any other backup goalie would be better than this guy
As soon as they realize "Oh sh*t our goalie cannot stop a fing beach ball" they then start scrambling and over playing every puck. Panic overtakes the confidence. We need to get JJ off this team asap.

I REALLY hope this is the last we see of Johansson. The team is playing multiple goals behind from the start when he's in. We were shit defensively but there's a reason these games happen every time he's starting. If you don't want to make a trade, just claim the first goalie on the waivers. Boom. You've upgraded the position. A f***ing cardboard cutout of Marc Denis would be better.

To say something good about this game, nice to see Goncalves get a point finally. He's played well in the last few games and probably deserved a couple of points already.

listen i'm not saying Johansson isn't a shitty goalie or that he played well in this game or that we don't need a new backup.
All i'm saying is this isn't a game where we looked good and lost because of a shitty goalie. We looked fantastic for the first 10 minutes after that there was basically one team on the ice and that was Columbus. They had more shot attempts, more shots, more scoring chances, more expected goals, more O zone time. Hey JJ still had a better save percentage than Merzlikins. Maybe the skaters can show more effort like they did against NJ and Winnipeg and not look terrible against every bottom feeder? Because they're losing (or almost losing) to them even with Vasy in net. looks like constant motivation issues. Who to blame? the coach i guess.

The biggest problem with JJ is he doesn't get you a whistle ever. Shots are going to bounce off of him - he doesn't absorb them. So unless you clear every zone entry is going to lead to sustained pressure.

He's real bad.
I remember another Lightning goalie with that same problem. Never got a whistle, so every shot led to chaos, and usually led to prolonged stints defending.

His name was Anders Lindback. And i know I'm not the only one who still has nightmares.

The Preds have fxxxed us on many a trade.

What i liked about this game-our ability to score, COL home broadcast, they werent annoying and actually enjoyable to listen (I hadnt chance to listen our broadcast)
Bad game for Cernak and McD. Now for the rest of season we need just to play 3 lines + ACE and Vasy, nothing more xD

I also had the BJ's broadcast. If they said it once, they said it a dozen times: "just keep shooting. JJ gives up 5GA a game."

Yep, but guys were enjoying game even with 0:3 on board, while I remember Minnesotas broadcast...their team having like first good season in last 100 years, and their broadcasters were soooo cocky it was so annoying and funny to listen to them xD
I think those guys from Columbus are on second place in my rating for "opposite team broadcasters" Sports NEt are on first :)
