I love in these threads how, not only are the offers junk, but people then throw in other very good players in addition to the player in question. Why, the frig, would the CBJ ever attach Kent Johnson to this? He's been easily our most dynamic player. He has the makings of a superstar. Lets be a tiny bit realistic here.

That said, Jiricek for Wright seems like the perfect fit for the CBJ. Not sure what Seattle wants or needs though.

If Jackets wanted Wright for Jiricek, I'm sure the owner of the Kraken would fly Wright on his personal jet to the Jackets within the hour.

As I Blues fan I can't say I am not intrigued at the thought of acquiring the other Jiricek brother. We definitely need another RHD prospect but also have the bodies to be patient and let him develop with low minutes.

Honestly though I am not sure what to offer. Dvorsky would probably be the closest in value but as much as we need another RHD prospect we need a true 2C more. Outside of that I don't know who else or what package we could put together that would be good value. I am guessing Columbus isn't really looking for veterans and none of our other prospects are going to move the needle much, maybe Snuggerud? Our 1st this year? It probably has to be a 1 for 1. I just don't see the Jackets taking two dimes and nickel for a quarter.

But for real, if the Penguins weren't so god damn bad so far this year, I would offer a lottery protected 1st for him. I'd definitely trade say the 8th overall pick for him, the Penguins just can't promise that pick will be 8th overall.

-Canucks get Pettersson
-Jackets get Vancouver's 1st and Mynio
-Penguins get Jiricek

But I personally don't think that cuts it.

I think the Penguins would almost assuredly be adding assets on top of Pettersson to get that deal done. I don't think Mynio and a 1st for Jiricek gets it done.

But at that point, why would Columbus be trading Jiricek for quantity? Like I said, I'm skeptical that kind of deal would get done.
