To be honest, results to date show Lias isn't either.

What everyone has to do is calm the fuuuuuuu** down and realize he JUST TURNED 21. There is plenty of time.

Howdy too.

Let 'em go down when Zbad is back. They'll be on a team on a roll and will only add to the success of our farm and hopefully gain confidence ala Chytil.

Yikes. Back on the boat everyone.

Just shy of 28 minutes for Panarin which must be some kind of record for a forward in a 60 minute game.

As a point of interest- I found WIKI listed the TOI in a game by a forward record held by Slava Kozlov on October 10th 2003, at 30 minutes even, but I cross-referenced with hockey reference and found no Thrashers game on that day. So for all we know this could be a top 3 forward minute performance in the modern era.

Didn't McD play like 51:00 in that one triple OT?

I've felt all along that Lias should be in Hartford...it's obvious that he is not going to get the ice time needed here -- even after benching Buch for his penalty and sentencing Haley to life at the end of the bench, Lias barely had 2 minutes of ice time through the second period.

I honestly do not understand why he's still here.

Spend 20 years looking for an offensive righty dman 24 years old and guys want to trade him. Amazing really
i just wish we had him signed to a multi-year this past summer instead of bringing Trouba and giving him a NMC. ADA-Fox-Lundkvist down the right side would have been solid. Lundkvist is playing very well at a high level. So at some point, we will probably trade one of ADA or Lundkvist and how much ADA asks for is going to play a big factor in that this summer. Now had we extended him 3 years at 2M, we would at least have a few years to evaluate Lundkvist and weigh that against ADA 2022.

I too questioned Quinn a lot last season but he seems to know what he's doing - development wise with integral young pieces.

He's gotta go down sooner or later and the Howden experiment is not getting prettier either.

Both will look great on the Pack leading the way with Shesty.

Just shy of 28 minutes for Panarin which must be some kind of record for a forward in a 60 minute game.

Panarin and Strome with 27:57 tonight tied for #185 all-time in regulation regular season ice time for a forward. And the most in the NHL this season so far.

To get deeper into this:

Until Panarin and Strome tonight, only three forwards since 2006 had played 27:57 in a regulation regular season game: Ilya Kovalchuk, Patrick Kane, and Martin St. Louis.

And since 2013, only one: Kane.

Record for a forward in a regular season regulation game is Kovalchuk with 30:01 in a 3-1 win, NJ vs PIT, Feb 9, 2013.

He also holds the top 5 spots all-time (including overtime games), with his record in a regular season overtime game being 32:25.

He's the only forward to ever play over 30 minutes in a regular season game, and he did it five times.

The intrusive advertising during the in-game broadcasts is out of control... Now we have to watch 15 second video ads without the game even being on a commercial break... MSG also shows video banner ads during the gameplay... And the digital advertisements that started off as more discrete graphics now morphed into huge eye-catching (distracting) digital banners.... What's next, the entire perimeter of visible glass covered in digital ads? More in-game commercials?

Increasingly annoyed by this.... The intrusive advertising is not going to go away, it will get worse...

That’s silly MH Tony and Trouba play very different roles. I don’t understand why people cannot just enjoy them both. We NEED them both.

I much rather spend money on righty Dmen than anything.

In what world is that? Howden is awful.......

He and Lias should both be in the AHL. The only difference between the two is Howden gets far more ice time (without reason) and therefore once in a while produces more chances. I'm confident that if Lias got the ice-time (and linemates) of Howden, he would look identical, if not better.

They are both not ready for the NHL. And neither should be here right now.

if that’s the only difference between the two that you see this won’t go anywhere. There’s a very clear reason Howden plays despite his warts and Lias doesn’t. Howden would be a very solid 4C right now

Quinn is a fraud. Stating Andersson needs to earn more icetime. Please you loser. Everybody in this fan base saw Andersson badly outplay Howden's in the pre-season. From day one you rewarded Howden crap play and punished Andersson because he isn't man enough to get over his personal problem he had with Lias going back 2 years ago to the Traverse tourny. This clown coach has no clue what a rebuild is. How is playing Fast on the first line helping our future? Fast should be on the 4th line. Kakko should be on the Panarin line. Andersson on wing with Zibanejad and Kreider. Chytil centering Lemieux and Buchnevich. JD has done nothing but collect a paycheck here so far. He needs to set this college hack straight on how to rebuild.

Lundqvist is barely 20 years old. He’s having his first real breakout season in Sweden he realistically could still be 2 or 3 years away. Why were penciling him into the lineup over DeAngelo is crazy.

They're really not. They're both offensive defensemen who are bad defensively.

I think Trouba is an exciting, dynamic player but I would love to know where we got this fairy tale that he's a #1 shutdown guy. I don't care if you're talking about analytics or the eye test. Nobody in Winnipeg will tell you that Trouba shuts teams down. It was literally not a thing until Rangers fans decided to make it a thing because they saw "6'3", 215" on the back of his hockey card.

And every time this conversation comes up, the response is always "Trouba's so physical, though!!"

That's great. Certainly not saying it's a bad attribute to have but physicality and defense are mutually independent attributes. Trouba's not good at defense. The stats don't show it and nobody ever thought it until a few Rangers fans did.

We knew we had two PMD on the right side (to be fair, we didn't know Fox would be this good yet) and we added a third one. That's what it is. And I don't even care, honestly. Get a bunch of guys on the left who can play D and we're set.

That being said, it's going to be an issue if we can't keep all three of them, especially considering that DeAngelo can probably do everything Trouba does for cheaper.
