Fox had to be sick looked miserable I think Chytil too looked gassed on his face all night.

Goalie was awful.

fast swings and misses at how many open nets?

Buchy ice friggen cold.

enough take the 3 days need it desperately
Man, this is the quote of the night.

My mom is currently suffering from this season's flu and it is no friggin' joke. Yeah, she's obviously not an elite athlete in her 20s, but she's been in bed for like 8-9 straight days.

That means finding someone willing to take a 8 million contract. Remember we couldn't move Shattenkirk who made less.
Shattenkirk is 5 years older than Trouba and injury prone, coming off of two abysmal seasons. Plus the salary cap will be higher in a couple years, I’m sure we could find a suitor.

No.

In all sincerity, sometimes trading someone at peak value is the right play. If DeAneglo was willing to hold out of camp for an extra 100K, he and his agent are going to be a nightmare to deal with for a long term contract.

Do the Rangers want to commit multi years and $6 or $7 million/season to a player that's going to be the 3rd pairing RHD on this team in a year or two with Trouba still on the team?

Don't totally dismiss the notion of DeAngelo getting dealt to address another weakness.

Should we trade Panarin also? What Kakko? I just don't get this. There aren't many guys on the team more important to the future of this club then ADA.

Considering everything, it would be brilliant to move him at his peak

I don't think people know what a peak is

They think it's like Billy Mays saying "but wait...there's more!"

The only reason DeAngelo gets moved is if he wants too much money because we can replace him with a younger player and still have Fox for our PP. He has earned his ice here but if he doesnt take a discount he is gone.

DeAngelo is going to be the 3rd pairing RHD? Lol
I’d keep Trouba here as a stopgap until the other kids are ready and move Trouba in a couple years and roll with DeAngelo-Fox-Lundkvist
DeAngelo is by far the most talented player on our blueline
This is what we call a good problem to have.

Doubt Trouba goes anywhere after basically forcing a trade here. Pretty sure his contract has some type of NMC after this year. We're stuck with him unless this rebuild goes south in 2 to 3 years and he asks out.

Fox is mostly playing well and is going to cost less. DeAngelo is the chip to cash in on for an impact forward (center preferably).

Your post mentioned in a few years, he will be late 20's at that point.

If it makes anyone feel any better, the Leafs got blown out and the Flyers blew a 3-0 lead and lost 4-3 to the Islanders....Idk about you guys but I f***ing hate the Leafs and it brings me much pleasure knowing the Isles are winning without Tavares and the Leafs are doing nothing.

Panarin was insane and his line was good, ADA was good and McKegg was ok. That's about it.

Haley and Andersson played just over 5 mins between them  Maybe it's time to find a 4th line that can actually contribute something...
Haley didn't see the ice after that first period penalty.

How bout we keep all 3 righty D for now since it’s one of the most valuable positions in the league and we have 3 studs k?

Not trading any of them. Not at least until Fox needs a significant raise in a few years.
The Rangers can kick the can with DeAngelo one more year by taking him to arbitration. They'll need to make a decision on him.

Yes, lets move him at his peak. While we are at it lets also move Panarin, Mika, Kakko, Strome, Fox, Buch, Chytil also. Lets just move anybody who can actually play so we can gain those extra draft picks and rebuild for the next 5 years.

Yeah i've made it clear how peaks need to line up

The other players you mentioned are several years under their peak
