They are also 5 points out of a playoff position while having played less games than most teams in the conference.

In the end I don't think they will be good enough to make it and will be in the lottery. They just aren't ready yet but they are better than you make them out to be. This team has talent.

They definitely have talent.

They're also incredibly young, incredibly top heavy, and incredibly awful in their own zone.

Amazingly I'm not down on this team...I'm actually very happy with a lot of what I've seen...I just refuse to buy into the thought that this is a good team or a playoff team.

This is a bad team..or a young team if you prefer.

It's not a team ready to be a playoff team. That's ok...get me byfield and I'll be effing jumoing for joy.

I wonder how many of these kids are still being claimed as dependents by their parents since they're all like 12 years old and Jimmy D opted for a shitty Aetna employee plan compared to BCBS. :laugh:

It's like calling a plant bad because it's a seedling.

 
We're going to have to live through games like this, it's part of the process. But holy crap that first 5 minutes was just a total massacre. Glad Hank wasn't in there for that, and glad they pulled him after the 2nd, he didn't need to be out there for this.

Hard to disagree with most of this, but I'm inclined to think they're closer to a playoff team than a top-3 pick team

Just because we're moving toward the playoff direction doesn't mean we're further away from being a top-3 pick team than not.

I think when the team plays the game that the coaches want them to, they're pretty good. You can see the glimmer of structure and gameplan, but they're very inconsistent about it. They struggle to hold their structure when another team pushes back at them hard. That's something that's going to take a lot of time for the team to figure out.
