I'm finally caught up. 9 hockey games watched in the last 2 days

Not sure if I'll watch tonight's game or not. I'll try to get everything up to date before tomorrow's first game but no guarantees.

Petition to include shootout GWG lol

Not sure what the current IIHF rules are but if they credit them with a goal for the SO winner you'll get credit here as well. That's the rule I've always gone with.

We had a goalie assist for the first time in a few years. That was fun to notice.

Updated again after the Latvia/Czechia game. Will probably have live updates tonight, but tomorrow I'm working late again and then working 5 days in a row starting Wednesday so the updates for the rest of the tournament will likely be sporatic.

Can you update the spelling of sporadic, though? :sarcasm:

Also, I’m noticing that after this update, my top three forwards have a combined two points. That’s not exactly the formula for a pool win.

I'll trade you Knies and Koivunen for Lambert and Lekkerimaki :sarcasm:

Knies has been so bad. Cooley has been all fancy and stuff but hasn't set Knies up for much and the couple times he has Knies has just completely whiffed. Luckily my lower end picks and Kemell have been really good. I basically punted on making D picks and somehow have 7 points from them already.

Knies has been disappointing.

That entire line of Lambert, Koivunen and Helenius and their domination of the December tournament for a couple of games now seems like a fever dream.

Update with 1 day left in the round robin. I may be 1 off with @tigervixxxen score because the math didn't add up at the end but I don't have time to check it. Of course errors could exist elsewhere as well. Next update likely Tuesday evening after I catch up on tomorrow's games.

Best possible score to this point(using 4th as the draft slot because McTavish) is 59 points

4. McTavish - 10 points
17. Bordeleau - 7 points
24. Kemell - 7 points
37. Mysak - 5 points
44. Andrae - 5 points
57. Puutio - 5 points
64. Mazur - 6 points
77. Duran - 5 points
84. Bugl - 4 points
97. Bergmanis - 5 points

Hughes had 6 as a D but couldn't get him in there without using 4th overall which was McTavish. Mberko has 6 points as a goalie but also couldn't use 4th overall on a goalie obviously when I can get Bugl for 2 less at the end. Raty, Coronato, and Hirvonen had higher outputs than some forwards but went too high.

I’ve always wondered what it would like if someone hit on all 10 of their picks.

Update after Round Robin

Landymack with the biggest day getting 8 points to create a tie at the top with a gap behind as it bunches up with 3 points separating 3rd and 8th

So… there was a bit of a seismic shift in the tourney (and this pool) yesterday. Who had a US QF exit To Czechia on their bingo cards?

I thought I would do C4G a solid and give him a day off from the updates, particularly as he is working. I have put a strikethrough on the players that were eliminated. I can't tell you how satisfying that was.

Thanks @Statsy. I just finished catching up on the games, but am real tired so an update likely wasn't coming until tomorrow during a break at work.

Unfortunately an update between the SF and finals is unlikely as well without a day between those games but we'll see since it's only half the number of games to catch up on compared to the QF

landymack feels like the favorite with those forwards he has left as well as an extra defenceman. Perhaps I can hang on to the 2 point lead though who knows.

Holy moley that battle for Bronze is intense.

Almost nothing changes after the 2nd SF with just the 1 goal. Landy gains one on me, and the T7's both gain a point but stay tied for 7th

There for sure won't be any update during or between games tomorrow from me. I don't get off until 9 here and the GMG starts at 8 and I'm recording both games so I might not have the results by tomorrow night pending on how tired I am.

If anyone else wants to they can feel free to update. I'm not asking anyone to, but someone who was considering it might not want to to "steal" the "big reveal" from me. I always find live updates are better than some reveal at the end. Of course nobody has to, but don't feel like you can't

I won’t be able to update things either as my vacation ends and I have to go to work pretty much right after the GMG. :thumbd:
