I was between him and Sanderson for my second pick. I'd just kick myself grabbing him and Cameron plays him on the 4th line/extra F. Guy can't stop tripping over himself to downplay what Bedard has done.

As I said in the Canada thread, I think the downplaying is intentional to protect Bedard, not because the coach isn’t seeing what we’re seeing.

You may be right. We’ve seen plenty of headscratchers before. With my luck he’ll probably cut Bedard for Finley because of his good size.

I took Garand last year and for some reason was so eager to fall for that trap again. Looks like someone else saved me from that decision and in turn made a whole new goaltending headache for me

I saw a lot of people have him predicted as the front runner, and he felt like the closest to a potential starter on a winning team left. Didn't feel great doing it.

I was just in a gross spot to pick goalies. I don’t think I can go Commesso or Blomqvist at 10 or 11, and I surely don’t want to take the Canadian gamble that early. Weird year for goalies with so much certainty elsewhere yet some real uncertainty for Canada.
