My pool has had a number of terrible first days, though we were awesome last year. I just PM'd you with an idea that I'm going to try to get things started on the right foot when the Statsy Pool starts on Tuesday. If it works, maybe it's something that you could put in for next year. Let me know what you think...

Perhaps. I'm not sure how others plan. I usually am doing research a week in advance of starting the pool but I guess I know when I'm starting it so that might give me a leg up. It doesn't solve the issue of someone knowing the pool will start, being here when it starts and then not signing in for over an entire day. I know everyone's got their lives too, and can't be on here for hours a day, it's just frustrating.
Thank God I have no actual life and can be on here all day.
My draft went in record time last year and I'm hoping we can do that again this year. It's also an advantage in a draft with eight guys vs the usual ten in that we know we're going to have a shorter wait time. That tends to keep the guys a little more on their toes and checking in more often.
By the way, I don't seem to receive any type of notification when people @ me, whereas I get an email when I am PM'd, so perhaps we'd be better off going the PM route when notifying each other.

I was begging for Johnson to make it to me. He was the last guy in my top 5 and the next 2 guys had some question marks so much so that I skipped them and went to the D mainly because I have a huge dropoff in my D rankings after a certain point and that point likely comes before my next pick so I feel like I'm way more likely to like the forwards at 30 and 31 than any of the D that are left. Wanted to get 1 crossed off the list that I really like.

This time wasn't that big of a deal because it was night for most of your clock, especially for you. I didn't expect you to pick for a while anyway. With Tigervixxxen behind you from Colorado I assume, middle of the night for him during your morning I was expecting those 2 picks to take a while. The first time with you not had being here since the draft started I was more concerned. It's also more frustrating when we burn daytime hours with nothing.

Yeah, I remember when I was on the board all day waiting for my pick last year haha. I'll go home later today so I can actually do some prep for this and actually look for players. I've been just picking whatever and it kinda can cost me the game before the tournament even starts, even though because we can't be sertain yet, there may be some hidden gems during the later rounds.
