So...update on my path to dual Italian citizenship. Stopped by the consulate in Philly for other succession matters and happened to ask about the citizenship process.Apparently can't do it through my dad even though he was a dual citizen. He broke the lineage back in the late 50's when he naturalized as a US citizen. I was then born in Canada and he naturalized me a US citizen while there. Then in the 90's he was allowed to get his Italian citizenship back but again he broke the paternal lineage already. Luckily my mom became a Canadian citizen after I was born so I can pursue the maternal Italian lineage.

Of course climate experts are saying now that Canada willl be the place to be when things get worse in the next 10-20 years ...they said Canada needs to prepare for climate migrations and while they don't condone overloading Canada with citizenship requests...it will happen. So now I am thinking of maybe pursuing Canadian citzenship and moving in with Bernie and living in my birthplace....Montreal. :)

I was out for a run for 50 minutes and Russia f----g hits Poland. Friend texted on messenger and it appeared on my Garmin mid-run: [Poland hit by missiles. Emergency meeting]. Surreal. Probably accidentally but the f--- does it matter. It could had been Russia/Latvia border.

Just heard on CNN: ''Baltic countries are pretty nervous and pretty mad''. Yup.

Edit: CNN just said ''Czechoslovakia''. Dudes. It's 2022.

It might be plausible if it was one, but if it was two missiles as reported and that both landed pretty close to each other in this Polish town. What are the odds that in a volley of Russian missiles launched at a Ukrainian Town 62 miles away the Ukrainian missile defense manages to damage two missiles and alter their trajectory causing them to veer 62 miles away and land in Poland pretty close to each other?

I think the more logical explanation is whoever input the coordinates for the missiles on the Russian side ****ed up and the two of them hit the input target, which was in Poland.

Even if indeed those are ''lost'' missiles or missiles volleyed from Ukrainian interception - it matters only slightly. The death of two NATO citizens was a direct result of those 90 Russian missiles fired today towards Ukraine.

NATO is holding world history in their hands now. They will not activate Article 5 for this, but now they could and have all the pretext for delivering even better weapons, creating no-fly zone and whatever else they want. That's why there's no official announcement from Poland yet. They want to solidify the facts.

Edit: I must say, from all the possible countries to hit, Poland....... Have fun with that, Russia.

Just came back from the pub and a few beers, so the "how we feelin" question is not going to be met with a serious response. :laugh: But I reiterate, Putin needs to go f*** himself.

There's absolutely no reason what so ever to respond to that missle strike. Ukraine is far exceeding expectations and on the offensive. A NATO response could potentially bring out a wave of patriotism and bail Putin out of the mess he created.
 
Biden is saying preliminary investigation shows the missiles were not fired from Russia. Sorry unlikely.

The Fed is not the regular guy's friend. I can't wait to see how they try to solve the liquidity problem in the Treasury market.... they are going to have to buy back all the illiquid bonds otherwise any sustained collapse of prices will ricochet through stocks, corporate bonds and currencies. What happened in England was almost like a trial run....

This is what happens when you let the bubble machine control the world economy with their liquidity laxatives followed by butt clenching Quantitive Tightening to try and tame the very inflation they create in the first place.
