I can't get enough of the enormous, titanic Ls taken by American oligarch Elon Musk and FTX/crypto. It's so tasty. It's amazing.

The FTX issue has outed the true volatility of crypto and it being 100% shitcoins, since any day could bring a "crypto run" (equiv of a bank run) because coins' values aren't based on anything liquid. One single whale could wreck any coin or any exchange overnight, and that's assuming it isn't a Ponzi scheme in the first place! Snake Oil Sam was funding Alameda Research, his own trading firm, with his shitcoin using billions of dollars from FTX accounts LOL

And Twitter literally could ruin American oligarch Elon Musk, including his grip on Tesla. I recently learned the $8 Twitter blue only nets about $2 profit (lol) per customer since it sacrifices some/most ad revenue, and if you're using it on iOS, 1/3rd of the money goes to Apple! So Twitter blue might LOSE TWITTER MONEY for a huge number of users. And that's assuming every user signs up! And the icing on the cake? He used Tesla stock as collateral for the loans used to buy Twitter!!! So he might have to sell 10s of billions of Tesla stock to cover his debts, which will in turn tank Tesla. Such a brilliant businessman! So savvy!

AHHHHHHHHHH GIVE ME MORE

Nah, I’ve never done any drugs or even drank any alcohol.

I was just thinking because I saw a video of someone whose hair had turned grey, so I started thinking about how eyebrows turn grey too. Then I thought about that means all the dark eyebrow hair must have fallen out at some point and then that must mean it has to be somewhere in the world, in some form, since it can’t just disappear. Now I’m thinking about how much hair I’ve had cut off in my life and where it all must be. I wonder if any of it is in an interesting place.
Did you know dust is just decomposed hair and skin?

The FTX thing is really funny because so many cryptobros talk about how they are breaking free of finance corps and banks and then...promptly entrusted their money to a much less trustworthy version of those things?

And a lot of them fell for it because they couldn't resist the allure of the internal shitcoin offered by FTX.

A couple years ago I posted that you should never, ever buy anything like that. Here is why! You're just handing money to someone else and waiting to get burned.

It's just so good. I can't stop burrowing deeper into the rabbit hole.

Crypto is a house of cards and I mean...what's going to be left after the next few months? Bitcoin and Coinbase? In your own wallet? I mean half of Binance's holdings are their own shitcoin. Literally THE SAME f***ING PROBLEM

Crypto is all a sham. A big ponzi scheme

Everything is a ponzi scheme, DP. EVERYTHING.

With that said though, Bitcoin is getting lumped into this whole situation and that's not fair. I don't have any desire to invest into the crypto world but Bitcoin is legitimate. It's the exchanges that are the schemes.

All of the shitcoins on the face of the Earth? Pump and dump ponzis.

Crypto is like the dot-com bubble in the late 90s and crashed in the early 00's. You may have had some legitimate companies emerge from it, but you had way more grifters and just fraudulent or hastily thrown together shit to exploit the money being thrown at anything.

The biggest difference is that it was mostly financed by speculative investment firms and venture capital and the crypto has been all about taking money directly from people and putting the investing 'in their hands' with in many cases very little to no actual oversight.

Then it just snowballs onto itself because the influencers and subreddits and streamers and all those who 'prop up' the industry and try to direct people to something are almost all doing it because *THEY* are trying to increase their investment and then they're often the ones who get out before the shit crashes down leaving the regular people with losses.

Well at least with crypto the government won't be hostage to the Too Big to Fail syndrome where we get socialism for the rich and capitalism for everybody else (i.e. bailouts). It is hilarious when the mythical "free market" Libertarians and other economic idealogues get exposed when we experience the cyclical Fed induced market contagions and crashes aka "business cycles" that just happen like some natural act of God per their BS rationales.

That's what I'm saying. Bitcoin is going to be the only thing left once the fallout of this subsides. You should have picked it for your team gladiator winner (or whatever it was)

So...update on my path to dual Italian citizenship. Stopped by the consulate in Philly for other succession matters and happened to ask about the citizenship process.Apparently can't do it through my dad even though he was a dual citizen. He broke the lineage back in the late 50's when he naturalized as a US citizen. I was then born in Canada and he naturalized me a US citizen while there. Then in the 90's he was allowed to get his Italian citizenship back but again he broke the paternal lineage already. Luckily my mom became a Canadian citizen after I was born so I can pursue the maternal Italian lineage.

Of course climate experts are saying now that Canada willl be the place to be when things get worse in the next 10-20 years ...they said Canada needs to prepare for climate migrations and while they don't condone overloading Canada with citizenship requests...it will happen. So now I am thinking of maybe pursuing Canadian citzenship and moving in with Bernie and living in my birthplace....Montreal. :-)

and it's supposed to be a coincidence your username is Embiid and now you're racking up citizenships in other countries like him? :D
