McJesus getting a little emotional talking to Gene. He’s just the best man, we’re so blessed to have won that lottery, so many great memories already. He epitomizes hockey for this generation.

Just a f***ing LEGEND
I was hoping for surprise congrats video from 99 or something like that, but I am glad they let all the players on the ice to celebrate (which I'm sure most of you know is supposed to be a penalty).

Yeah, the skating component of OT makes Nurse a potentially great weapon out there. He should be in the regular rotation of OT skaters at least.
He’s in the rotation but he’s the #3. They roll out bouchard then Ekholm then him. In woodcrafts day he was the #1 snd started the with the big boys. At worst he should be the #2.

Great OT goal

On a side note, Nurse looks visibly happier not just in this game, but this season overall compared to the last couple of seasons. Hopefully whatever malaise he was dealing with is dealt with and he can continue on as a more confident/happy player going forward.
Could it be that he doesn’t have to play with Ceci?

It's not like Bouchard and Ekholm haven't shown they can play well 3-on-3. Knoblauch has been using Ekholm smartly to defend and eventually strip the puck from the other team and then get an offensive D when the Oilers have possession.

Believe it or not, they now have a better record than both of the last two years. For a better point total at game 17, you'd have to go back to when Dave Tippett was coach.

Forwards as a whole are still not executing but McDavid has awakened, the D is ok 5-on-5, it bends but generally does not break.

Also it will be sorta sad if the best goalie of this bunch:
