I'm going to say something controversial and not because of the goals tonight, Nurse has been....good.... this season after a rough few games to start.

And, he has 1000+ points at 27 years old. What more can you say lol

Hes been good when not being forced to play full games with Dermott.

On a side note, Nurse looks visibly happier not just in this game, but this season overall compared to the last couple of seasons. Hopefully whatever malaise he was dealing with is dealt with and he can continue on as a more confident/happy player going forward.

Story of our season:

Pickard gives up a 5-hole goal on the Preds breakaway. Literally the 1st difficult save he's been asked to make since the first period.

Next shift, McDavid gets the beautiful cross ice pass from Draisaitl, goes 5-hole... Wedgewood makes the big save.

Great way for Connor to spend his 1001 pts game. Nurse with a spectacular game tonight. Noticed he was really flying out there and jumping up and down the ice. Really had his legs going tonight and so much more effective when he's being an offensive threat. Seems to get him engaged more.

Very solid effort by the Oilers.
