still a long season but Nurse certainly has had less controller disconnects

Interesting to see Connor that emotional in an interview. This means a ton to him, and it should, 1000 points at 27 years old? That's immortality right there.

Nice to see Nurse happy again. Hasn't been going well for him lately. Reminding tonight why we have him. KK deserves some credit for getting Nurse out there with McDrai in OT and other times in game. He was sure going tonight. Nurse definitely a star tonight if McD didn't get all 3.

One thing I’ll give woodcroft credit for is he used nurse way more in OT and I don’t know why knobloch doesn’t.

Yep. My preseason prediction that STammer and Marsh were looking for retirment contracts sure looks to be holding. Disgusting effort by both in the game. Preds 4th line only players that can hold their head up. Forsberg was awful too. These guys must have all taken up golf. The worst players for the Preds were their skill players. Go figure.

Vancouver has 6 shots through 2 periods. I am surprised they only scored once.
It wasn't pretty but the Oilers still manage to squeak out a win. Even though Pickard didn't quite impress, I have more faith in him now then I have in Skinner.

Nurse with an excellent game... best on the year.
McD with 1001 now... and 9 pts in his past 3... his offense/confidence seems to be unlocked again and back on track to the "normal" McDavid that's been missing for a while.
Didn't like the way the game went in the 3rd as they are making games as hard as possible on themselves but in the end 2 pts is 2 pts no matter how they get them... but man tight games are just not something the Oilers seem to be able to cope with. Consecutive games it's the same story with not being able to lock it down and having to do the OT circus to get the extra point.
Oilers are slowly turning the corner... defense is there already and goal scoring is at least creeping upwards. Still need more reliable goaltending and the special teams need to get going but there's some progress at least as the team hopefully realizes they need to work their asses off every night against every single opponent.
No team takes the Oilers lightly... so they can't take any opponent lightly either.

Yeah, the skating component of OT makes Nurse a potentially great weapon out there. He should be in the regular rotation of OT skaters at least.
