CONGRATS STAMMER!!

This is the official Steven Stamkos Milestone watch thread. I will be updating the totals above until Stammer reaches both 500 goals and 1000 career points.

Only 93 other players have reached 1000 points in their careers, and only 46 have reached 500 career goals. Stamkos is looking to become #94/95 and #47 respectively.

One of the more underrated superstars of his generation is one of the more thankless athletes in the NHL. He will become the first player born in the 1990’s to reach 1000 career points and rightfully so.

How many for both milestones together?

It's unbelievable how underated and disrespected Steven Stamkos is. One of the greatest hockey players of all time and some jobbers around here still question if he'll make the hall of fame. And on Youtube there isn't a single highlight video of Stamkos using his custom goal scoring song.

Made a really stupid pass in his own zone tonight that led to Tkachuk having a breakaway with a chance to tie it but he missed the net.

As for points, his 2 assists tonight have him 17 away from 1,000 points (and 5 assists from 500 in his career).

I would take it a step farther and say one of the most underrated stars ever.

Take those stats/Cups and give them to a player of a prior generation, we're talking about that guy as an easy lock for the Hall of Fame. Stamkos is in fact a lock, but people don't talk about him that way. You'd almost forget he's in the league if he weren't on primetime games with Hedman and Kucherov and Vasi.

No doubt about that. If there was any doubt before (I don’t think there was), the Cup(s) sealed it. Wouldn’t even need to reach these milestones.
Starting out with that crazy broke owner and Barry Melrose was a nightmare but he just learnt from it and just kept moving upward
