Though the PK looked really good. McGinn has a pulse finally.
What else are they going to do? Short of swapping someone for Rakell there isn't a lot of change to be made there in terms of personnel. How do they watch this powerplay every night and just roll it out the same exact way forward wise?
What is it 1 game healthy together?Rakell and Malkin havent worked
Rust and Malkin work
Rakell and Sid work
GCR all the way tho

I really don't like when they do the two separate units crap. That unit has enough talent that they should be able to figure it out.

Sometimes things don't click right away.
If it works great but let's not come to conclusions right away.
People came to conclusions about Zucker, Archi etc pretty quick. Some things pan out some dont
Exactly. At least Petry generated some chances form the point. Penguins always do something different on the powerplay the first few games of a season. It converts like crazy and then somewhere around third or fourth game they revert back to default PP for last 10 years. They can change to set up. They can change strategy. They could put out the second unit and show some accountability. These actually a lot of options.
The hope plays with tha man advantage are so frustrating. Just throw the puck to the corner, win a battle and live to fight another day.
1 game isnt forcing anything. This is lame excuses. Geno works with Rust. Rakell instantly worked with Sid. This let's force it until its works is garbage.
They've done all kinds of strategic changes. Sid on the point, not on the point, etc. And I doubt Sullivan is telling that unit to go out and do stupid high risk plays. They can change to set up. They can change strategy. They could put out the second unit and show some accountability. These actually a lot of options.

It's also not about 2 guys on each line it's finding what works best for the team in the top 6.
It's not an excuse it's reality.

They've tried the two separate units thing before and it always stinks as bad or worse than what they're doing now.Put Zucker and Rakell up top. Remove one of Sid or Malkin and hold them accountable.
Funny thing is people are bitching about making adjustments. They make an adjustment for a game with the top 6 trying to get something to work and they are bitching about making "adjustments".Rakell has spent a lot more than one game with geno. It hasn't worked in any. The best top 6 was the one putting up 6 goals a game at the beginning of the season. But please keep saying they shouldn't use that one and should wait for this one
They shifted strategy early in the season and it looked great. Then they went back to this trash.
We lack a true PPQB and have since Sarge left. That’s okay though. We have a surplus of players who can play below the goal line and in the corners, right? They've done all kinds of strategic changes. Sid on the point, not on the point, etc. And I doubt Sullivan is telling that unit to go out and do stupid high risk plays.
They honestly just need to simplify and stop trying the high risk bullshit. They shifted strategy early in the season and it looked great. Then they went back to this trash.
Letang occasionally brings that but just as often he's a disaster. We lack a true PPQB and have since Sarge left. That’s okay though. We have a surplus of players who can play below the goal line and in the corners, right?
But we never will. We will always force the plays high on the PP. And our guys will always play hot potato with the puck up there. It’s our destiny.
It's the weakest part of Letangs game if you want to pick it apart. We lack a true PPQB and have since Sarge left. That’s okay though. We have a surplus of players who can play below the goal line and in the corners, right?

As I said it's not about just 2 players on 1 line it's about the top 6 as whole.
Have we seen a healthy Zucker Geno Rakell?
