Oh our defense has really sucked lately. No doubt....they are part of the problem.

I don't think they've sucked. They've still limited shots and been worse than before, but the average/below average goaltending has also made our D look worse.

True. When it comes to long contracts..especially bad ones, many players are moved before they even sniff their final year. Backstrom is an exception.
