The irony is Subban came into the league and was immediately and constantly criticized for played the 'wrong way', and unfairly developed a rep.
Mcdavid has no such criticism levelled at him - yet - despite showing a propensity for a bit of dirty work early on in his career.
Enjoy the game and the double standard...
Hahahaha. The really does look bad when you re-watch it. But it's against the Habs, you really have to sell it to get calls. The refs love them.

How is it a double standard? You must have missed the giant thread full of comments calling McDavid dirty and garbage.
Subban is one of the most popular players in the NHL even with his reputation. No idea what point you are trying to make.
Also...if McDavid does play with an edge, good for him.

That was clean as hell...refs have no problems calling penalties on Subban, if history is worth anything. Even the EDM feed said he did a good job.

Where's the embarrassment and tackle? All I saw was McDavid burst with speed and do a great job fending off the puck but ran out of room to get a good shot off.
