Unless you're getting a goalie for a conditional 7th, don't even bother. The Kings clearly have zero leverage in a trade right now. Go with Zatkoff and Budaj, and if you're terrible, you're terrible.

They're not playing well outside of the goalie either, so Quick wouldn't even save the day.
 
There is absolutely nothing to worry about. The Kings are still a strong possession team with the best defense in the league, with plenty of depth throughout the lineup.

What were you expecting? There's no cap space to do anything. Other than good players, you can't get rid of any of the contracts.

Which another team like Carolina is going to enjoy. You know we're going to trade our first-round pick for a rental who is going to get fourth-line minutes or get injured a few games in because, hey! It's tradition. Yay! :cheers:

Don't say that, I questioned early in the offseason if it was time to move on from DL and Sutter as the decision making has not been very good and got my head tore off by many.

In hockey not evolving from year to year kills you. To much game tape, statistics, etc to try and stay the course and play like you did two years ago

Seriously. I know it's en vogue to play the level headed wise man around here, but there is so much wrong with his team, top to bottom.

We used to be able to slot in whatever backup we wanted, and our system would take care of the rest. Now it's a total gongshow without Quick standing on his head.

Declining top end, cap albatrosses, no pipeline, trash depth, overpaid production-less bottom six, three NHL defensemen, the list goes on and on.

This team is dead on its feet. If we're under .500 at 25ish games, it's time to show DL and Sutter the door. They've comprehensively failed to construct and ice a contending team. DL is completely out of touch with current competitive hockey as far as I'm concerned, his World Cup failure included.

Time to let go of 2012 and 2014. That's ancient history at this point.
