Richards #1 LW. Guess we'll find out if the trainer was worth it.

Also I think we will see how badly he wants to shake the 4th line centre thing (even though he plays way more than 4th line minutes). Here's hoping he ends up playing amazingly on Kopi's left (unlike in 2011), and then when Gabby comes back the top line becomes Richards, Kopi, Gaborik, 2nd line is that 70's line, and third is Stoll with Brown and Williams.

If nothing else would give Sutter more options for when he blends the lines...you know every game

Oilers fans here. You guys could play Kopitar and Doughty with the entire Monarchs roster and still get an easy W. Just...be gentle.

Are you the "fan" who threw their sweater on the ice after game 1?
Edmonton will be a lot harder for the kings to play against due to their speed than people think.

Wait... I forgot the secret to cracking Scrivens... dump the puck and get him out of the net handling it.... Always works....

Edit: Also in the news... Clifford/Andy/Nolan looks like the 4th line .... Key to this line... if you mess up and give up an outnumbered attack going the other way grab the closest person to you and start throwing punches to get a whistle.... hopefully it's not a linesman or teammate...

Missing our top center and top RW.
Two teenage centers.
Best defenseman scratched.

Should be a great game for you guys to watch.

3 games in, 3 injured players. A poor trend.

Should the Kings win? Yeah. If they want to be in a position to win the division, these are 2 points they can't give away.

LA tends to **** the bed for games when they should dominate. But ya Edmonton is pretty beat up for this one.

We've been pretty lucky with injuries the last few years minus Mitchell. Despite our team's commitment to fitness and training, it was bound to catch up sooner or later. Hell, we haven't been regular season performers with health, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise (), plus if it gets down to an emergency situation, we'll see guys like Shore and Weal.

But yeah, no Muzzin, Lewis, Gaborik. Those aren't' going to break us, but those ARE big holes. It maybe just doesn't look like it due to depth.

It was hilarious seeing kopi and rick together last season, they would both go to the same areas all the time. Hope it's not the same case tonight.

I don't usually pay attention to Kings games because we always get waxed in them, but Jesus if we aren't going to get our clocks cleaned in this game.

To put it into perspective, we got our show run by the Canucks, not exactly a physical team. To use a terrible pun, the Kings could be stapled to the wall and they'd still win.

Do the Oilers not have an AHL affiliate? Why in the world do they continue to play 18 year old kids in the NHL? I'm willing to bet half those blue chip prospects never see their potential or it isn't realized on the Oilers. The one big thing they are missing with all these high draft picks is the fact that they need to be developed.

Yeah, just look at how the same approach ruined Doughty.:shakehead

It's not ideal to dress an 18 year old, but in this case Draisaitl has looked fine on the ice, and is mature beyond his years when it comes to the mental approach to being a pro. Much like Doughty, his game is going to progress more learning from mistakes at the pro level than it will dominating junior. To the point that Draisaitl said he wouldn't return to junior and would instead go to Europe (again, that does less for his development than playing on NA ice). If he was AHL eligible, I'm confident he'd be there.
