Our lack of talented shooters makes things very frustrating to watch. Everything has to be some sort of magic passing play. I think teams and goalies know that.

I think there are bigger problems than goaltending.
The system is number one, but to have taken out Stepan and quite literally not replaced him (as in we dress 11 forwards because the options all suck) has caused a lot of problems. Our centres are far from elite on the offense and are bad defensively.

To be fair to him, a lot of that is because the team in front of him is awful. It’s an ugly combo when he’s declining and the team plays NO defense.

He's too soft to even wipe with. I have never seen an NHL player lose every single puck battle like he does. Incredibly weak on his stick

Vehemently disagree. Watch his passes and board play: his passes make the recipient reach for the puck and throws off their speed and then he’s terrible along the boards as a by-product of his size. He was fine in a depth role, but there’s zero reason he should be our second line C right now
