If that 3 minutes happened to the Hurricanes this game we would have burned this place to the ground.

After the first 3 minutes tonight, I was dumping the kerosene all over the place.

It goes to show you how big this game was for both teams.

A couple more games like this (and that 4-3 loss earlier in the season), and I believe the Canes may have their first real rival in...forever

I still have high hopes for the eventual 'Canes-Bruins showdown in the playoffs this year. Who can forget Tim the Turtle or Slewfoot Skinner, or "I'm not gonna waste my time on Viktor Rask!"?

Sucks, guess I can't ever wear my Rick Nash CBJ shirt.

Seriously though, I only got it as a collector item the year Nash might have come here in FA. I'm all for a CBJ vs CAR rivalry. I was in Columbus for Yugioh Nationals (I **** you not), and Nationwide was next door. Figured i'd get some kind of merch.

I attribute this win to Murphy our family dog. Haven't seen him all night, he shows up and Eric immediately scores. He sticks around until Jordan scores and then scuttled out of the room like he was on a mission. Thanks Murph.

Good lord is Columbus good with their sticks. Every pass seemed like they got a piece of it. Great job by the Canes to keep pushing and not get pissed and start taking dumb penalties and stupid risks.

The Hainsey/Liles combo has been huge. The substitution of Liles for Bellemore has done wonders for their rushes up the ice and help from the point.

Columbus fans are vindicating Bobrovsky for giving up those goals after he kept their lead through the 2nd and early third. Also *****ing about the ice in Raleigh being bad. Didn't see many problems with it tonight. I just love reading a team's fans' excuses after we beat them.

Tuukka Rask?

Anyways, as I was leaving work I saw Eric had scored his first. And in the time I got from the punch clock to my car, Chuck was announcing Jordan's goal.

On a side note, this thread was highly entertaining. The goose picture literally made me LOL.

My dog passed away, and that was during the losing streak and Pete Dawg was in net, we ended up winning that night after my doggy passed.

Dogs are good luck.

It kind of did in the last Canes/CLB game in Raleigh.

Turnabout is fair play I guess since the Canes gave away 2 points to the Blue Jackets in that game. Games like this are always fun to go back and read the GDTs (and why I stay out of them during the game )

This game is over. Just like our season.

Yeah I'm pretty much done. Complete embarrassment. We shouldn't win, Columbus is much better and deserves to be higher in the standings.

This game is a train wreck just like this lack luster season.

I don't know why I expected anything different from this team.

Boo these jokers

Does anyone really believe we'll score 3 goals on Bob with Columbus going full "defend the lead"?

The Canes won't score tonight

Let's not kid ourselves; the game was over 2:42 in.

With the current state of both of these teams, the only way the Hurricanes would beat the Blue Jackets is 1-0. Hold them to zero goals and MAYBE score a fluke goal. Alas, not tonight.

Bobrovsky didn't play that badly. I don't know why a few Columbus fans are shredding him. In the 3rd CBJ got outworked throughout their offensive zone and obviously gave up that big 2 on 1 that Jordan scored on.

CLB is a tough team to play against. They are physical, work very hard, and never give the Canes any time and space. They have very active sticks and make it real hard to get any flow going.

I'm getting nervous, because this team is starting to get me to believe again. In past years, I've always felt they failed in the face of any adversity. This year, they have faced a lot of it and seem to be finding ways to get points.

Don't you do it. They've hurt all of us way too many times in the past. Don't fall for it again.
