Unpopular opinion: Nathan Gerbe is doing what Chad Larose did at a comparable rate but is being paid much less and as such, fans are happy with Nathan Gerbe and hate Chad Larose. :sarcasm:

Pretty much. How dare LaRose accept the contract JR offered him? Or play on the lines Lavi/Maurice/Muller put him on?

Oh wait, comparing any player to LaRose is bad and therefore should be shunned. :sarcasm:

Unpopular Because Wrong.

When did you *ever* see Rosey finish like that? Never. Not ever. Come on.

You sometimes see players in shootouts use the move Gerbe did tonight, but that is planned beforehand. It's amazing that he had the presence of mind to do that after racing at top speed for the loose puck. Very impressive. He's been a really solid addition.

Tlusty's goal was reminiscent of last year. Yes, he was right place/right time, but if you watch the highlight, his hands are so quick, backhand to forehand and puck in the net. Not every player has quick hands like that. I've always thought Tlusty's skills are underrated - perhaps it's a function of "he doesn't use them as often as he'd like" - but when they come out, it's just obvious that he's got the natural talent to be a goal scorer.

Anyways....good win, nice to win it late after losing the two goal lead (although really, it's a two goal lead with over half the game to play, so not worth losing sleep over).

Why were people mad at Nash? He wasn't on the ice for the goal. Did he take a penalty to negate a PP or something? Noticed it was a 4 on 4 goal...

Philly's second goal was a PP goal from a dumb Nash high stick

Oh ok. The Philly feed had "4 on 4" posted underneath the clock, but now I see 5 Philly guys on the ice. Typo.

I'll give it a meh...Nash doesn't usually take penalties.

Not to knock Chad, but he's never had the scoring touch that Gerbe has. Around good linemates, I think Gerbe could score 25 goals a year easy.
