My impression is that they were better with a man-advantage than 5x5, but I'm not sure if that is accurate. I'm sure some people here know if that is accurate.
 
live stream happening on Twitter with player red carpet interviews and stuff. Gotta say, since we've declared a rebuild, management has upped their game on fan interactions and keeping fans engaged on social media platforms. Getting players to work the phone and stuff.

Is this one of those games where the listed start time is 7:30 (so 7:40) but they do all the intros etc and the puck isn't dropped until closer to 8:00, or do they get all that out of the way so it's still a 7:40 start?

Even if I was to argue it was never his fault, I couldn't argue he was pulled way too often to be comfortable with.

And without going into detail, which I could, I would argue it has been the team in front of him 100%.

If every one on this team does their job, I honestly feel we have just as good a chance as any team.

I love hockey and am glad it’s opening night but I have to be honest, I’m preparing myself for an historically bad season for the Rangers. I sure hope I’m wrong but I can’t see this team winning more than 25 games this season. They have virtually no scoring, the defense is beyond terrible and the goalie is rapidly declining.

The only way I can see this season turning out even close to OK is if the Rangers go the Ottawa Senators route from a few years ago or go “neutral zone trap” era hockey and simply try and play defense for 60 minutes and win games 2-1 by blocking shots and just playing the “wait for the other team to make a mistake.” This roster, nor this coach seems to be designed for that so I don’t see that happening. I view this season as if this was a horse race— the Rangers are the slowest, least talented and most confused horse in a race against other horses that are faster and better prepared for the race. If you run the same race as the other horses( play this uptempo style that people within the organization are talking about) you won’t win the race or even be competitive.

I’ve been a fan for 25 years and never felt this way about a season before. I just don’t get this roster at all.

I’m all in on Lose 4 Hughes. Would be huge for our franchise and I would feel really good going forward.

The funny guy on this team, and Kreider is his biggest fan.

Oh boy if Zucc leaves...that locker room will sound like a funeral :(

hm yes that`s win win for us if Zucc end up in Anaheim for future, because then he will be UFA next summer end of the season and they can`t afford to resign him. :)

I think this is way too pessimistic. That projection means we’ll be about as bad as the 2014-15 Sabres-who are widely considered one of the worst teams in the modern era.
 
Easy shutout for Rinne. Expecting Lundqvist to look discouraged and defeated by the 3rd period.
