Hasn't this been beaten to death already? Jeez. If Marc Staal magically disappears off this team......then who next does everyone beat up on? Who is on deck? Shatty? Oh yeah, we would still have Vesey......but he's gonna be an all-star (lol) so then......it's gotta be overpaid, underperforming, Shatty. Right?

It’s always someone. If not Vesey, it’s McLeod, if not him, Shattenkirk, Smith, Fast (he’s not a top 6), it will forever go on.

Surprisingly good. Defense has been shaky, but the forwards have gotten better as the game has gone on. Vesey has probably been our best forward. Fast scored off a great pass from behind the net from Chytil. Lettieri has also been gritty.

Quinn is a vocal coach and is constantly giving his guys feedback. It's especially good as they're learning, and it's showing. Surprisingly, Staal is actually looking pretty okay.

Hank has been great. Seeing a lot of shots, but he's doing well and tracking the puck well. In my opinion, the D is closing gaps once they hit the blue line and it's letting the faster NSH forwards get in, but it's also keeping things clear for Hank, so I guess that's something we'll see.

Icaught Shatty backing off at least twice prematurely. Hey, its only the 1st game......but wen you dnt step up.......Forsberg had a great chance because of it. (Not his goal, another play)

I’m fine with Staal in a limited role. That was part of the problem with AV. He just never went there. So dumb.
